You missed something....:) I ran undervolted/underclocked P4 2.4 @ 1.8Ghz, 1.2V after read information here. Temp load can never reach 43C, while normal setting eas...

It's possible to change VF700 fan mount to connect to graphic card directly. I did it with my Sapphire X800XL. Fan speed can be controlled by stock firmware. If you are not happy with it, ATI Tray Tool can control fan speed. and it spins depend on GPU temperature. I feel a bit safe compare to manual...

RAID 0 failed me before. There is no way I will install RAID 0 again. It's completely waste of time and money. With little overall performance gain, you sacrifice bunch of data or OS config. The problem in RAID 0 was not HDD failure as theorical. But more on logical binding. It's very easy to break ...

Re: Noisy on Startup: AC ATI 5 Rev. 2 on Powercolor X800XL
this is the best feature of X800XL, rev at full speed when start-up or restart for seconds then go to silent mode. It's almost the same like highend PC server, rev at fullspeed then drop it.

I have both Matrox G550 and Sapphire Radeon 9250. Both are fanless with great 2D-Video stuff. My comment on both - G550 run much cooler than R9250 - G550 much better on CRT. While on DVI, my eye can see any different at all. - G550 support dual head/dual output, R9250 is single output only - R9250 r...

All in stock clock. with 5.6 - idle /2D for more than 2 hour. - run 3DMark05 test - run 3DMark05 demo - see highest temp with ATI tray tool graph. change driver to 5.5 - uninstall 5.6 - restart - install 5....

If there is a significant increase of OpenGL performance with the new drivers, then you should also expect an increase in heat output, since the GPU load is now higher. Similar problems happened when Doom3 was launched, especially with ATi cards. As I remember, ATI Cat 5.6 optimized by calculate le...

hi gunner I use two 80mm intake fan in series, which is 6V each and one 80mm outtake fan. XP90 make possible for my 2.4B @1.3V to run passively. I made ducting to case fan from CD casing box. It makes the cpu temp slightly lower. Here the picture http://web.singnet.com.sg/~widman/HardwareZone/PICT08...
