Lol! Yeah, those fan blades, looks like you could slice lemons or fingers with them.

A kind of heavy metal fan look.

Will be interesting to see a review of this fan here at SPCR.

Noctua's new line of fans

I recieved this mail from one of the Noctua technical directors, that I got to know some. Vienna, November 5th, 2007 - Only 14 months after the release of the NF-S12 series, which has received more than 100 awards and recommendations from leading international websites and magazines, Noctua expands ...

I just retiered my old, trusty Antec True Blue 485 W for the Corsair HX 520W. And I must say I'm impressed! The True Blue was silent. But the HX is silent - silent lol. My Noctua fans on 850 rpm are louder. And with the Antec, I had 11.88V on the + 12V rail with a Gainward Golden Sample 7950GT. But ...

Thanks for the ansver.

But that would pretty much take away the whole idea with a passive videocard. Even if the fan is considered silent. Would'nt it?

The XFX 7950GT?

Hi all! I'm helping a friend to upgrade his videocard. He is very interested in a XFX 7950GT passive. Just a couple of questions. 1. In a P180 case with 3 fans ( 2 exhaust ) and one on a Noctua heatsink). The Noctua fans at 900RPM. 2. What would the case temps be like with this card, in such a case?...

Hi! I did that before with good results. Both removing the top fan and sealing the top hole that is. So try it. It works very well! When I had that config. I just had the rear exhaust fan ducted to the Ninja cpu cooler. No other case fan. The reason why I have the top fan back on again, is that I ha...

Hi again!

This is interesting.

I lowered the top fan to 650 rpm. And as said, the rear exhaust fan is at 850 rpm (Noctua 1200 rpm fans). And I got 2C lower temp, both idle and load. The case temp also dropped by 2C.

Wonder why?

Diffent speeds on exhaust fans in the same case?

I'm just wondering if it's a bad move to have different speeds on the rear and top exhaust fans in a P180 case? Let's say, you have 2 fans of the same stock speed performance. And now, you are intending to run the top exhaust at 650rpm and the rear fan at 850rpm. Would the fan at 850rpm, render the ...

I was swaying toward the P5N32-E board as I've used Asus nVidia boards in the past and they've always been pretty rock solid. I appreciate something like the P5W64 has the edge and it was really just a case of drawing a line somewhere in terms of cost, but heck - I started off spec'ing an 8800GTS 3...

Hi, I really don't like the idea of all the heat from inside the case having to go through the PSU. With ~200w of heat having to go that way the PSU fan will have to run really fast. Mmm, that's a good point. The Nexus case doesn't have any other way of shifting air to the outside, also as its very...

You wont need any fan in the cd bay area. Just get some foam strips and tape them to the cd bay opening, using double sided tape. Then just wedge a 120mm fan filter in there. It works very well in my P180B. And seal all holes inside the cd cage to prevent air leakage. Also, tuck some foam in the sma...

So far my only real noise source of system is now my PSU. So, I will now seek passive semi-passive PSU. I got decent air flow in my case and specs are on my siganture. From here I can get these PSU's from one retailer: Antec Phantom 500W is 149,90 € SilverStone ST30NF Nightjar 300W is 139,90 € ...
