Chenbro slot covers? or something with smaller holes? I would dangerously assume that this is for purely cosmetic reasons. Options: leave covers off, drill holes in existing covers, use after market cover from unknown location. http://www.silentpcreview.com/files/images/xpider/back.jpg I can see why...

The Atlas/Titan's internal HDD cage doesn't have trays as such - they're just mounting rails which screw to the sides of the drives. If you download the technical diagram for the Titan here , it should become clear. You can see three of the rails in place in the CES picture. It seems pretty clear t...

It depends on what you are looking for. I like fan controllers as gadgets. I like motherboards with good onboard fan controllers better. I like to know that the fans are changing based on the temp of my CPU or system not the temperature of the fan at some hardware level. The exception is if you are ...

Welcome to SPCR stock heat sink fan maybe a big problem. If you are looking at that to be quite its not going to happen. If your temps are bad with your side off and a box fan then a different case is not the solution. I would make sure my HSF was clean, and mounted correctly. on way or another I w...

Personally I would not get a mATX, half height case unless I really really knew that full height would be impossible for the situation. You are limiting your options with that little PSU, and the lack of full height card support. Oh and lack of large HSF options. I just think it has such a limited u...

Stuff like that works better when you cover every surface. The PCI slot covers. I have had good results covering them with. I don’t know if your Zalman V700 Alcu is silent, but if it makes noise at all, that is a great place to cover if you can. You might experiment with foam on the surfaces across ...

Wow that case does not have a dedicated exhaust fan. I think the ninja with a fan as a back up would be good. If the MB supports only turning the fan on when the CPU temp creeps up even better. I would think exhaust all of the air in the case though the PSU would cause the PSU to ramp up prematurely...

Emergency! I just received my gear and I can't figure out how to mount my motherboard! Look at the holes showed in the pics above, these holes dont have screwthreads. :/ If I need any special mountingsetup, it seems lika Asus forgot to send me those, or? I double checked my set up. This is on an shuttle nforce 2 MB with a NV 5900. If I turn my speakers up all the way and move the scroll bar I get a noise. If I use page up and page down, I get a similar noise. Theory: My monitor cable makes interference with my audio line. Test: Unplugged DVI cable a...

I know this sounds strange, but with via chipsets for the AMD Athlon XP’s and USB mice I have had sound interference noise that a function of drivers. What kind of mods do you want to do. You can do any number of mods you like. Its like art. Most of what you might do with a relatively small case perhaps is done. So you could do a lot looking at others with the P150 I would say if you want to do something new the P180 is better. The P 180 is bigger...

Prepare for disappointment, then. Those fans may be quiet at 7 volts, but that means --GASP-- doing an undervolting mod. You can save yourself the money and simply undervolt your existing fans and you'll probably get good results. BTW I use the abit GURU chip/utility or fan speed to under volt, so ...

Thanks everyone. Anyone know why AMD processor dont "appear" to be faster than intel? For instance a 2.4 ghz amd is the same price as a 3.2ghz pentium or celeron. Yes, the recommended list is a good place to start. I have had a 1700 XP and a 2600 XP, they are both harder to cool than the Athlon 64 ...

.... Nope, I can't. I won't pay for the Lexus of fans. .... I bought a random Yate Loom 12cm fan and at +5V it's actually pretty quiet, at least for my purposes. I'd like something similar in a 8cm factor -- good enough -- but not $10/ea. ... the Cooler Master fans in 6 packs. http://www.newegg.com...
