I too am looking for a mobo for my E6600 C2D I just ordered. I would like to go with a single Nvidia GPU (EVGA 7900GT KO) instead of an ATI card(s), however, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot out there right now except the older Asus P5N32-SLI SE, which is an Nforce 4 board. http://www.anandtech....

Took me long enough to do, lots of dusk from the dremel cutting the metal, can imagine thus being to good if it got onto your mobo. Curved blade (RH or LH) tin-snips  It's hard to get into the tight corners of the hexagonal grills of the newer Antec cases with the standard Wiss Red M1R (RH) s...

That is exactly what my first attempt was. I tried to see if the support beam was bolted in place (like other cases) but it is in permanently, so I had to start over again. Yes, I think it is riveted in place. I also thought about drilling out the rivets and putting some regular screws in, but I th...

I think this will be my next case also. I have the 3000B and love it, but the Solo has good looks and some great features. Only thing I don't really like about this case is the high gloss paint job...which means lots of fingerprints and dust. My 3000B (along with most Antec cases) also has the suppo...

I have the 3000B and S12-430 and I'm pretty happy with them overall. The 3000B is inexpensive and provides good cooling. However the build quality, while being better than a lot of cheapie cases, isn't the best that's out there. I also don't care for the door either (probably why I popped it off :D ...

Thinking about upgrading...need some input
I have been thinking about upgrading my system and have a good idea about what I want, but I would like your input and opinions on some of the components. Right now I have an older Intel 875 board with AGP graphics card, so I will probably need everything except the PS and case. I know the Core Duo ...

Felger, I reversed the connection to the motherboard and the hdd activity light now works! Apparently it was a polarity issue. Funny thing is, the activity light is a bit bright at times and I may reverse the connection again  I'll see, I might just use a Sharpie if it becomes a real issue. I'...

Here's kind of the look I was going for. A crappy photochop, but you get the idea. I used the Silverstone TJ-04 as a basis. It has the classy, yet high-tech look of htpc's, in a standard ATX tower. VFD is not really needed, but it looks cool. :D http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v721/jason_b1980/put...

What would be the perfect case...looks and performace wise?
With all this talk about whether a P150 looks better in white or black, got me thinking. My perfect case would be a hybrid of the P150 and a Lian-Li. With the great looks of the Lian-Li's aluminum front panel, with the excellent cooling and quietness of the P150's steel chassis. The front panel woul...

The only minor issue I have is that the flat front (very little to see) either looks white or silver If you look at the BTX case on the left, the bottom of the silver bezel also has the white/yellowish color to it. Looks to me it's just the lighting in the area causing that. If this is what it look...

I've been looking at purchasing a new harddrive, and these two from WD look pretty decent, only trouble is, I can't decide which one will be the best bet for me. I like large storage, but I also like speed, so maybe you guys can help me decide. Suggestions on any other drives are welcome. Silence is...

Imation doesn't make any media, it resells other brands, most often CMC/Prodisc which are mostly crap. Fuji makes its own media but it also resells CMC/Prodisc and TY. So it's possible that the media you burned wasn't "decent", relatively speaking of course. This I know. When purchasing media from ...

I have drives from both Lite-On and Plextor. My experience with the Lite-On CD-RW drive is that it is loud while burning or accessing and the tray doesn't open or close very smoothly, but it is very fast, and I haven't burnt a coaster yet. On the other hand, the Plextor is quiet, and the tray opens ...

Try the Sunbeam Rheobus controller. It will dim or brighten the LED's, depending on voltage/fan speed, but the light stays steady. I tried using the built in fan controller on my Intel mobo, and the LED's would flash light a strobe light(probably because it uses PWM). So, I would bet any controller ...

You can go into the Nero preferences and turn off the "auto-eject" thing. The tray will then stay closed at the end of a burn. Cool. I've had the Maxtor DM9 6Y120PO ATA 133 hardrive with the fluid dynamic motor for several years, and it has served me well...but I think it's time to move on. I honestly think they give you too much cabling nowadays. They should give you, say 4 standard Molex plugs, two SATA power plugs, one floppy drive plug, and the ATX plug (with the +12V thing separate). Anything else, you would have to split yourself. Agreed. I sure wish that Seasonic would make mod...

Nice rig! Very similar to mine . Might wanna smooth out those edges around the fan grill(s) though. I find the Dremel with the cut-off wheel works best for the 3000B's back fan grill, The red (right-handed) tin-snips are too big to fit in the tight corners.
