you can always have a webpage up with the logfile and WU data file (they're just text files) refreshing every 30seconds or so. that should be good.

EM accesses data in the same sort of way.

machineID is for multiprocessor systems (1 to 4), so i'd say the client is assuming, since machine ID is 2, that you have two processors in one box, and therefore showing that you have three processors in two boxes.

we've made 2,451 points in the last 24 hours... so therotically we'd be able to reach rank 82 (currently held by rabid hardware) if we keep this up :D

rank 81 (folding@malaysia) made 3,447 in the last 24 hours.

in my enthusiasm, i miscalculated. those 69 points were for 32 hours. i average about 51 points per day. (one 18point WU and one 33point WU) the 33point WU takes me about 15 hours while the 18point is just under 8 hours.

MarkF at sudhian has some crazy setup there, interested people should check it out. i did check it out... it is pretty amazing. but there's something that gets me. he (MarkF) mentioned that, with gromacs, he generates 37 points/day/system (with athlon xp 2100+). um... with my P4 2G... i churned out...

you'll need a program called firedaemon to use it as a service. i'm a bit skeptic about this, bit i'm sure the download pages has tips on how to implement this.

alright. :) its been about 24 hours since i started using the CLI client with gromacs, and i've churned through 3 WU's. two 250k step WUs and one 500k step WU. (the 250k step WU takes about 7-8 hours. while the 500k step WU takes about 15 hours.) i think that's impressive, don't you think? i'll heed...

you'll have to install the client seperately on each machine. copying the folder just wouldn't do... that's what i heard.
