i use ceramique on my heatsink. It spreads rather easily. does not drip at all. Overall a pleasure to work wil. And from all the reviews i;ve read it preforms on par with as3.

also very good choices. could you post your idle/load temps when you finish.

lol yeah your right. i was thinking more like 55-60 (idle) with a decent heatsink.

i don't see teh point in not putting an undervolted l1a or m1a on it. it would be quieter then the baracudda IV. i doubt he could hear it.

and form what i hear tbred b cores die aroun 85. but i could be wrong.

How to get 5v for a fan?

i know the red wire (on a 4 pin to molex) is 5v and the yellow is 12v. So if i take out teh 12v wire and replace it with the 5v wire and leave teh 12v wire out will that get me 5v. Also is it safe?

Since dells (or mosst dells) open clam shell you cannot really add a blow hole at the top.

so i guess your only remaining option would be to add one on the side.

which is tricky since the case is covered in plastic.

i read the hardocp.com review. The 9500 pro outpreformed the 9600 pro in most benchmarks.

the athlon 64 will use SOI technology. It should make the chips run much cooler.

From what i have read the opterons run ~44 dg C on a 1 u rackmount server. Which are very hard to cool.

Not to mention the A64 should be slightly cooler then it's opteron counter part.

i've seen allot of people run their procs without a fan on just teh standard heatsink. You'll proabbly run 45-50 deg but it won't die. I know my heatsink fan has bee disconnected on accident and ran for a while at 2 ghz (Im talking aobut my 1800 dltc)

sapphire builds the ati cards.

I would go out on a limb and say hurcules one would be slightly louder since it is made more for maximum cooling and preformance.

your kill temp is about 85 deg c. so if you put an sk-7 (which is not much different the the slk 800). youshould be ok. youcould always put an m1a or l1a at 5v on it and you probably couldn't hear it if you put your eart o the case.

i don't think you have too worry too much about a geforce 2 ti catching fire. if your really worried why hnot try mouning a low profile cooler on it?
