Anyone built a silent Silverstone FT02 watercooled rig?

I've seen a lot of photos of people installing triple 180mm radiators in them at the bottom, with another 120mm radiator on the exhaust fan. Then installing a Koolance RP-452X2 bay reservoir with dual pumps mounted on it in serial for reliability. It looks like they use the variable speed PMP-450 pu...

Re: Simple, very quiet water cooling for the following?

But I do have an almost silent machine (i5-3570K and gtx680). Even when under heavy load. So I did accomplish my goal. And as a side effect, it seems to be very cool. I just ordered a Silverstone FT02 case, and am considering water cooling for silent gaming. It looks like it can be done! Thanks for...

Solo case missing drive rails?

I just got my solo from newegg, and it appears to only have 6 drive rails for 4 drive bays. Each bay requires two rails... that leaves one bay without the white rails. There are only slots for 4 rails in the bottom of the case + 2 on 3.5" thing.... it appears to be built/sold w/o the last pair of ra...

Holy crap! That's one huge tower, the CM Stacker (14 bays?!). Nah, I think that'd be overkill. The right angle cables would be an idea, except that I like access to the volume control for setting mic input levels. I change it when I'm gaming, depending on the game. So the door would always be open w...

You said it yourself - it looks ugly without the door. Modifying cases by removing their doors they were designed with, or cutting big holes in the doors, do not generally render cosmetically appealing results. Hence, the desire for a case designed without any doors. What's wrong with the P150? The...

I don't consider the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum a low end card, it retailed for $250+. But that's not important, as I want that bay unit, and my reasons aren't under scrutiny here I don't think. Removing the door really makes a case look like crap. I don't like that option. That would be my only choice at...

I can't have a door on the front of the case, I run big 1/4" jack audio cables off the front from my Audigy 5.25" bay unit. Do you think there will ever be a P182 variant without the door? I like this case!

(I already went with a Solo/P150 because of the door issue).

USA sources for Skythe Kama Flow fans?

I can't seem to find the "Kama Flow". I found others on newegg, but not the ones reviewed. What are the good, supper silent Skythe fans in 92mm? I'm debating between Nexus and Skythe.

Thanks, I did a bit of looking around, and apparently the words in the review are more of a disclaimer. Nexus is a heatsink fan as much as any.

I'm looking how to isolate a fan on the Thermalright SI-97A. I think the wires that hold the fan onto the sink wont leave enough room for a rubber pad though. Has anyone experimented with this heat sink and isolation?

I'm glad to hear the rubber can take it though! :)

Nexus 92mm on Heatsink ok?

I read in this review that these aren't designed for high heat situations, like heatsinks. Is this really true? Can I use it on my Thermalright SI-97A heatsink? Will it fail prematurely?

If Nexus can't be used on heatsinks, what 92mm fan is popular for this?

Thanks, I think I'm gonna get one from frozen cpu, they have very good resellerratings.com and are about the same as xoxide. Does the SI-97A work on a socket A? Thermalright doesn't say so on their web site, but I just noticed a retailer stating it will.

Where can I find one of these? It appears the big retailers don't have them anymore. I am open to used as well. Where can I find unusual used components like this one?

Is it safe to have PSU fan fixed at 5v?

I modded my Fortron Source FSP350-60PN with an aluminum evercool 120mm, running the power for it out of the psu into the case (3pin connection). I also soldered on a 3 pin header to the psu fan power, and ran that out of the psu (so optionally I can run the fan off the psu fan control if I want). Ri...
