I like it. Aluminum is a good choice with the 5 heatpipes. I did notice that in the "preview" test setup it appears to be mounted upside down on the motherboard. It would have probably worked even better with the curve of the heatpipes at orientated to the bottom or side of the case. Even with an in...

SLK2650-BQE

I looked at a Antec SLK2650-BQE at Compusa today. Interesting little case. Appears to be a steel variant of the orginal Lanboy improved with a 120mm rear fan, side door air guide to cpu, rubber mounts for 2 HD's. Is anyone here currently using the SLK2650-BQE? I have an orginal Lanboy (blue light po...

Thank you Stevo.

I can lock the pci bus speed so it looks like I'll have to get a pci RAID card so I can have my cake and eat it too. At least the mobo/cpu was inexpensive.

BTW the bottom end Prescott seems to like chewing on gromacs at stock speed can't wait to see what it'll do @ 3ghz

Interesting. I'm running the toasty lil' prescott on an MSI PT880 Neo. Highly unstable out of the box with the prescott. Updated the bios and works fine now. Overclocks like a beast, however, the SATA drives vanish when overclocking which doesn't make sense to me :? maybe someone has a clue as to wh...

Extra fan mounts, to me anyway, are handy whether you put a fan in them or not, notice how many folks duct the cpu? and it's easier to cover up a hole than to make a hole.

Just a note: Compusa used to sell a 5 fan version, PC-82com, but has discontinued it. It had the usual 2 front, one top fans and 2 on the motherboard tray as well as a window side door and a different front trim than the regular PC-60. I wish I'd got one :( because I always liked the PC-60 design an...

I've talked directly to PC Power & Cooling, nice folks but if you want any custom options it's very expensive unless you're ordering 1000+ units.

What's so bad about TT again please? Whiney/noisey fans. In-efficient: gets hot and shuts down due to overheating because the internal fan override fails to operate. Poor quality control: flimsy cable ends that pull off. Unstable even with a moderately loaded P4 system. Forget any overclocking adve...

I have a Tt 480w "silent purepower" and it is a gen-u-wine POS!

It's been replaced by an Antec True430. Not silent but quiet enough for my mission and I like the fan only power leads.

Hardware stores have these kinds of connections, usually in brass or nylon. I prefer nylon hose barbs.

Be sure to put teflon tape or non permant liquid thread sealer on the threads of the connections to prevent leaks.
