**** Thread hijack **** Really good read. My question, instead of another thread, pardon the hijack, would it make much difference to go from an Athlon 1700 to and Athlon 2400? Then if I overclocked the 2400 I don’t know why, but if I did? I just overclocked my 1700 and it ran stable at 1.75 v-core ...

Too much research and evidence is being brought to light, even in scientific fields that shows a higher being exists other than ourselves. At the same time utterly dismiss our existence and place a random operator on it, we just happen to evolve is as inconceivable as the notion because evil exists ...

The problem I think herein is no one really cares, we are a very minor group of players, similar with me is wanting gaming companies to release shooter games with TONS of maps but they don't. same for fans. When demand is high enough we will see it.

Actually Josh just get comfee with higher temps within reason and undervolt, will make a world of difference. Servers normally run super hot on cpu's and yet few ever go down or die from heat

I placed my toasting maxtor in front to the intake hole and ropped temps almost 10c lower, you gotta get na intake hole in that case and if no hdd software will run, you may try checking in the bios on boot up then under pc health, this usually will give the hdd temps.

Dremmel or tin snip a 80 mm hole for exhaust get of any fan grills if safety allows, pets/kids? Get good airflow, how about cables, tied up neatly or using that automotive wrap or even black tape helps reduce size.

Pjotor, congratz, sweet are they not? I still recall my noisey Adda's and how they would not undervolt or start at 5 v and how cool it was last summer to install those swirling 80 l's.

[quote="burcakb"]If you really want to go adventuring, how about this?: Your PSU has free power lines that you can use: two 3.3V lines and one 5V line. Where? on that 6pin thingy (the AUX connector) that your regular mobo doesn't use. I've already cannibalized that socket to get me low-voltage molex...

I understand the 7 volt wiring Rusty, but am afraid to go longterm and hurt the coveted PSU, I had this crazy idea that if you combine two separate molex's using one red and one gold wire youd get 17 volts Then split the 17volts by wiring two fan in series thus = 8.5. I love how you can post retarde...

Strange fan wiring idea?

Hey got this idea while counting the ceiling tiles last night. Will I need a 3 wire fan for Windows XP?

All I have is panaflo 80 L 2 wire fans now connected to the mobo. I am looking at upgrading to win xp for free and was wondering if I will need to get some three wire fans for the mobo? Plus I heard you have to run a case fan and cpu 3 wire fan minimum to get XP to run? I hope this is not true. TIA
