Re: GELID Icy Vision fit in Antec Solo case?

I am currently looking into using a gelid icy vision rev2 for my 6870, just wondering if the vrm sinks coming with the icy will be enough as it seems it wasnt for your 5850.

Re: New gaming vid card needs silence :D

Well I might go for the new 6870 and use gelid icy on that one as the rev 2 seems to fit on it.

I5 750 and temps (what you think)

Hello my build is almost done and will post some pictures later on. Atm I did some tests for temps in the P183 case with sflex-e 1200RPM@5V for top, same fan for on my noctua NH12SE cooler but @7V, and a slipstream for exhaust. Atm I am seeing temps around 48/50 when im stressing smalls and large wi...

Hej well a gaming system always will require cooling :) The P183 with 3 slow fans doesnt add any noise and is enough to cool a decent gaming system. The noctua cooler with a 1000/1200 rpm fan undervolted runs my I5 at 50° load. About the 5750 its a fanless club3d version but it got way to hot witho...

Running all your fans at 12v wont get you a silent system, I have almost a setup like yours. My temps are really nice with using my CPU fan at 7v and case fans even at 5V, sflex-E and one slipstream for my rear exhaust. I would go with the seasonic x650 atleast I have it myself its just a noiseless ...

Glad to hear that the fan helped! 60C under FurMark seems adequate. :D When I boot up I hear like some schrrrrcttt "scratch sound" coming from or around the CPU, should I be worried or is this normal? It disappears as soon as I get in win7 I really doubt this is a problem. My machines make a racket...

Yea just adding a fan ziptied makes the card really really nice imo :) doesnt make your system noisy. Even when not gaming I saw idle temps at 45°/50 and furmark almost gave me a 90° the last time I tried it again without a fan... with a fan like I said I dont go above 60°, keep in mind this was ...

One more problem or well I would like to know if its normal but because my system is so silent I heard something I never did before. When I boot up I hear like some schrrrrcttt "scratch sound" coming from or around the CPU, should I be worried or is this normal? It dissapears as soon as I get in win7

Well my first problem already is a hard one, the club3d fanless GPU gets WAY to hot, under furmark load test I almost got 90°. using antec 183 and 2 sflex 1200 at 7v and one slipstream at 7v. will have to look at some other quiet vga solutions :/

out of the box the only real silent cards are gigabyte 4850 and the 9800gt silent cell I would go with one of these it gives you room to play a game aswell :)
