But then again, it has no problems with a 57W radeon 9700 pro so a 2400+ (53.7W typical 68.3W max)AMD Cpu should be withing range of cooling. One way it to try. ...

Well, for now I had to unscrew the plastic shroud so i could mount the heatsink on the cpu. Once i find a better way to mount it, the unit will be reasembled. As i mentioned, temperatures have improved slightly. high speed : 42*C Low speed : 49*C But then this CPU only produces about 20W (max 25W).

Another thing you might try is to seperate the heatpipes on the heatsink side. This way it would give more cooling area per each heatpipe. Currently in your setup, you are sharing the same copper blocks and region of the heatsink for both heatpipes. Just a thought.
