just as Chris mentioned, you need to buy a 3pin plug and wire it yourself
as for a fan controller, the generic one reviewed here fits nicely behind the drive door.

Re: why is my AthlonXP 2GHz + 7000alcu so hot @ load?
GPU core 52C GPU ambient 53C In the past I've found high CPU temps to be caused by high ambients (bad case ventilation). Could this be the case here? Any chance for you to measure the fan intake temp above the CPU? the GPU ambient is probably not indicative of casing temp. It is a sensor on the vid...

which is more important: watt or amp?
I just got a new Antec Ttruepower 380S.
Strangly enough, even though the 380S delivers 1amp less on the +5v line compared to the old (1st gen?) Truepower430, the380S spits out a whopping 8amp more on the +12v line.
+3.3v, -5v, -12v and +5vSB specs are the same for both PSUs. Any comments?

Re: are these grommets goode nough?
Only if you're trying to induce a positive/negative atmosphere inside your case. An example would be when watercooling, you're fan would need to be sealed to a spacer/plenum in between the fan and radiator to focus the airflow and eliminate pressure loss. The fan isolators from SA can also be found...

are these grommets goode nough?
the only grommets that i can find here are these http://www.frozencpu.com/images/products/detail/scr-10.jpg how good/bad are the above compared to these: http://www.siliconacoustics.com/fanisolators1.html if i use the black ones, there'll be a gap between the casing and the fan frame. Are there any ...

sonata with abit serillel2: enough space?
hi, is there enough space to fit a harddrive + serillel2 inside the sonata, considering the unusual sideways installation of 3.5" drives?
thanks

some {very general} info on drive reliability
this is a drive data recovery busines http://www.dataclinic.co.uk/hard-disk-failures.htm (hope i;m not spamming  ) recent maxtor drives are put in a particularly bad light. The site seems to think highly of seagate drives though. too bad they don't have any info on samsungs. samsungs aren't too...

hi all I have an A7N8x-DLX 1.04 with 7000A-AlCu as well. I swapped the default northbridge hs with a coolermaster passive hs. The 7000A makes contact with the nb sink and i'm not sure whether it's preventing the 7000a from making proper contact with the barton core. my load temp seems kinda high, 60...

using nv silencer 2 on FX5800
seems like this's the only model that can cool the FX5800's ram chips even though it's spec-ed for the FX5700.

turning off the fan in external 5.25" casing: safe?
I am thinking of getting an external usb2/fw1394 casing. But it seems that many of them come with small (and prob noisy) fans.
I may be running a CDRW or DVDRW drive in there. Anyone have any experiences with overheating if i rip out the fan?
