Only mod was done on the sunbeam was to paint the LEDs black, so put it this way Sunbeam is friendly and compatible with P150.JVM wrote:Are the holes on the side of the Sunbeam or did you have to drill the holes for mounting with Antec P150 side rails?

spolitta, Is that a fan controller in the lower 5.25" bay? if it is, how did you install it and what model? The reason I ask about installation is because I don't think you used the side rail attachments and I'm wondering how you did it. Its a Sunbeam Rheobus and it is installed using the side rail...

Thanks for your answer spolitta, but wiping out RH’s warning and reposting the large photos, wasn’t so clever. spolitta, How have you mounted that clear CoolerMaster fan? It appears to be suspended in mid air :? Like I said, it’s actually off at all times and yes it is suspended in the air and on some cables I guess. And from the other sided it’s leaned on the side panel foams. http://www.pmp3p.com/space/P1...

I love this case. Absolutely adore it. I just want a different color scheme. Black w/ silver trim would be nice. I am so sick of the hdd vibrating my whole case (thermaltake tsunami) P150 doesn’t look very good in pictures but it’s a very nice apple'ish white. Not that I'm a fan of apple but that w...

Well I think I came up with the “money well spent” phrase because of a few different reasons. One was because I sold my P180, Seasonics S12 and zalman fan controller and bought cheaper stuff which all turned out to be great buys, and another reason was because some of the components used here were l...

You will have a hard time finding the answer since not many people own such huge drives yet, some of those drives aren’t in stock in most stores and some like the WD are really unpopular. But based on what I've heard on ncix.com most of those drives are noisy compared to SPCR standards. Your best be...

I think you should try sealing off that duct from the rest of your PC, to see if it would improve general case temps and if the air circulation in and out of that sealed off part of the case would be good with just a fan sort of bouncing the air around. If you read the thread or at least the part o...

I do not know anything about these vinyl dampening materials people use, I don’t like them mainly because I don’t have the knowledge how they work and I never had anybody explain it to me, manufactures such as nexus also describe it as a magic absorption material discovered by some scientists and fa...

Re: 3x Samsung sp2504c vs WD raptor 150gb
Because SP2504C is pretty quiet drive according to SPCR, my friend has 2 of them and they sound pretty similar compared to the SP1614N I own. 3x 250gb is only 45$ more expensive then 3x160, price/gb. I have already explained why I put them against each other. Forget about the reviews, those good sa...

It was never on their web site. Check the automotive section at your local Canadian Tire. You are right, I just went to a CT in GTA and first they said that they have that part discontinued but they still have some sort of a same molding for cars. I took a look and it was the same product from the ...

While you guys were arguing the heatpipe issue, I built a sample of my idea but using ducting instead of heatpipes . I didn’t actually install an exhaust fan too see how this duct would work because I’ve made too many mods recently I ‘m still learning toward their impact on my system. I’m actually g...

P150: Money well spent
I’ve meant to post these pictures along with some long paragraphs of reviews, tips and thoughts about P150 and Silence back in 2005; however I’m not having lots of free time to write at the moment, so for now enjoy the pictures till the words get typed. http://www.pmp3p.com/space/P150/09.JPG http:/...

why 3x sp2504c? the P120 250GB series is a lot noisier than the P120 160Gb (I own 3 250gb and 2 160gb) and the P120 160GB is noisier than the P80 160Gb SATA. so why did you choose the noisiest Samsung HD and want to compare it with such a different hard drive like the raptor 150gb, i dont know. Let ...

Re: Best quiet case WITHOUT a door?
The best quiet case without a door is in white and has a PSU, if you can deal with that then its P150.Noni wrote:Whats the best quiet case without a door?
I would like a black one, and I already have a PSU.
Thanks.

spolitta I'm not sure but I think the answer is level difference. Heatpipes of an inverted VM-101 have a very short vertical section and the wick seems to be efficient enough to pump fluid through it without losses. ok, so the same method could be used but have the fan vertical so it would exhaust ...

NeoHE, selling failure
I wanted to switch back to seasonic so I sold my fully working NeoHE with 2 weeks warranty, but the buyer returned it the day after because of the warranty sticker. This sucks, I don’t think anyone would ever buy it in this condition. Now where are those Antec supporters who were keep saying, “stick...

Which UAD package you have? I find the studio pack very expensive and the project pack very limited in the terms of plugins. Basically I hoped there was a project pack that included Cambridge EQ and Fairchild. I'll see if I can find a cheap card one on ebay, there doesn’t seem to be many around thes...
