Interesting concept.
With the 2 120mm in the upper back corner, looks like an ideal set up for a bare XP120 without fan.
Main question is this: how do you get the main mobo power connector all the way to the top without making it look ugly...

I shall bite. One of the most important things that factors in is the noise floor. That is, what is the ambient noise? Your ears get used to the ambient noise so anything louder than that is "noisy". Different people's places have different amount of ambient noise. This all depends on the type of fu...

If you are underclocking that low permenantly, you probably want to make sure that you choose an OS that will run efficiently at that speed. WinXP may not be a great option since it eats resources up. I take it you have done your homework and am guessing that something like 1.0ghz wouldnt do passive?

You may want to consider the Globe 120s. These will give you the CFM if you need it, but will also quiet down when you dont. I am both overclocking and running a quiet system - its very possible even without water cooling! You just have to be able to accept 5-10C higher temps which is fine as long a...

You can try to isolate the fans from the case with fan isolators: McMaster-Carr 5801K6 and 5801K8 K6 works perfect for the 80mm L1A. K8 works OK on the (thicker flanged) 120mm L1A but you can't take them off w/o ruining them. They fit real tight. I got this info from Lenny who got it from Ralfhutter...

thanks for your reply! So far, 2 hrs of CS:S and Dawn of War each have not shown any wierd dots or screen abnormalities. My CPU did reach 62C  Thats when I raised the 92mm Panaflo M1BX on my cpu to 12V for a lil while. Other than that brief 62C temp, nothing else out of the ordinary. Does rem...

Christmas Present: ZM80-D
I got the Zalman ZM80-D for Christmas and have a couple of questions: 1.) Is it supposed to be somewhat of a pain to install? I spent a good hour or so installing it - very slowly and reading the instructions twice or three times. It is on my 9800 Pro 256. I had also received an additional ramsink s...
