Have you actually seen a retail price for the 910e? Until you do, don't assume anything.
That's the current retail price - it might lower, but who knows...

I'm wondering about the AMD mobo; Was the IGP or the Asus 9400 + disabled IGP used? If it's the latter - how efficient is the mobo at shutting down the IGP? Yes, the IGP was disabled. The difference can be calculated easily since we know the graphics card's idle power. I'll test it next time I'm in...

Once again, a SPCR review on a high level - thanks :D 8) It's good to be updated in the CPU field, though, I dont have an itch to buy one of those tested; The 910e seems to be a better regarding consumption, than my current Phenom II 925, but not enough to justify an upgrade: My Phenom II X4 925 in ...

POST problem - mobo w. IGP: claims GFX aint properly insert

Hi there I finally ran into a PC build with mostly new parts, which wont POST  It's based on a Gigabyte MA785GT-UD3H, 2 sticks 2GB Kingston ValueRAM and a Phenom II BE X4 955. All those are brand new. No messages on the screen, only continous long beeps, and according to the manual it means...

After running this system for about 3 weeks, where it's been stabil, I'd like to add my undervolting results:

Idle: 0,74 volt / 800 MHz
Load: 1,18 volt / 2800 MHz

Voltages read through SpeedFan.

I think Phenom II 925 rev. C3 might deserve a SPCR review

My sample idles at 54-55 watts when undervolted. Undervolting also helped a lot on load wattage, it went from 180 watt to 125. However, the Phenom processors will not be as efficient as the Athlon II series (particularly the new 45W models). My HTPC (see sig) idles around 60W with integrated GPU. How to read CPU voltage reliable?

I'm in the process of undervolting my new CPU with K10stat, and noticed that the voltage readings from K10stat differs from SpeedFan and CPU-Z - SpeedFan and CPU-Z report the very same. Ah, AMD PowerMonitor, I thought, that must be reliable - but that one shows the same as K10stat - which happens to...

Tried a lot, but no consensus in the results.

AMD 925 arrived - please help identify revision

My new 925 arrived, and works gret, yipiii. But I'm in doubt which version I actually got... According to the website I bought it from, it should be a C3 revision, and the modelnumber on both their site and CPU I recieved, says: According to AMD, that modelnumber should be a C3: http://products.amd....

I've ran CrystalCPUID for about a half a year, no problems. Then I swapped my 4850e CPU to a 925, and now I cant access "Multiplier Management" and the "AMD K6/K7/K8/LX Multiplier" menus, they are grey... It sounds like you're having trouble at both the operating system level and with reading the discs. Just to make sure, are you saying that in many of your attempts the drive, itself, fails to even show up in Device Manager? Or, is it just that nothing happens when you put a disc in the drive? If th...

Try updating the firmware on the drive. My newer Samsung drive had horrendous disc compatibility out of the box, but after flashing it, it became usable. Problems with new SATA optical disk - SOLVED

So far, I've used a P-ATA optical drive, which worked flawlessly with my XP SP3 based system, until recently, where it started to fail quite often. It's old, so it's worn out. Then I swapped to a Sony NEC Optiarc 7240S S-ATA drive, and I'm now having problems. I just connected it to a randomly choos...

TDP is a limit not an exact value. I know - but since there's (almost) no benchmarks avaible, it's the least bad indicator of wattage. The 905e is overpriced Yup, from a performance/price point of view. But it's only 10-15% more than the 925, and if it really only was 45 w TDP, it seemed like an ea...

The 905e is 65W, so if you want the lowest TDP (AMD) quad core possible (45W) you'll have to go for an Athlon II (600e, 605e). As far as I know there's no Phenom II with 45W TDP at the moment. You're right, I mixed the TDP's up... But I need something with more horsepower than a 605e... So it seems...

I plan on upgrading my 4850e to something faster in my Gigabyte 780G based mobo. But I dont want a wattage monster which is tough to cool quietly... I think the 905e is interesting - low wattage (45 watt TDP) and as far as I've found out, it should be close to the 810, performance wise. It's a bit e...
