are the specific slipstreams limited to the rpm, i am using a 1200 on my cpu, and it is almost always spinning at around 1250, sometimes seen it reach 1300. i also managed to get some 800's shipped to uk, and they are also running over 800. nothing alarming, just curious. or is it just the program g...

yeh the filling of the gaps is only there to stop air getting in there, that alone wont help the temps. the only reason the paste is applied on the aluminum parts is because its in the middle of the whole cpu, in the link the guy worked from the centre outwards, starting with a small drop and then u...

yes the bolt thru kit is easy to mount so long as you dont have the fan on the sink first, i did that and i couldnt screw the bolts under the fan. the fan is a pain to get off without breaking the rubber mounts, but i managed to take on side of the fan off the sink, and then i can move the fan out o...

hello mate, i recently installed my xigmatek s1283 aswell, it was a pain for me aswell. but i got the thermalright bolt thru kit to hold it better. as for re applying the thermal paste, use this guide for the xigmatek. http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=170&Itemid=...

@fallsroad load temps with the xigmatek, usually up to 40/41 and then down to 32 again, under stress test they will go up to 47-49. i think i will just leave it like this for a week and then make any changes. iv had the comp on all day today and its been idling at 31/32 all day, shoots up to 37-40 o...

what about if you mount the slipstream on the end of the HDD cage rather than have it right at the front of the case, would that make a difference as the fan does not have dust filters or grill directly in front of it? i dont have a p182, but i am about to get one, and also put 800 slipstreams in it...

yeh, maybe i am being over fussy, to be honest even though iv just bought this new sink, i think the xalman was performing better, idle temps were only a little higher like 3-4 degrees, and when performing the same tasks as mentioned before they wouldnt go over 36-37. il play around with it and see ...

thanks for the reply, the slipstream 1200, is turning at just over 1200, around 1250 average. i know the original fan will spin faster, therefore more likely to keep it cooler, but i also wanted to quieten down my system noise. i am using everest, same as before i installed the xigmatek, iv tried to...

well i just installed my s1283, and it was a nightmare. partly my fault though. i have mounted the fan on the heatsink first as it was quite tricky to get on, i put a slipstream 1200 on it instead of the original fan. well as a result, i could mount the hs on the MB, i managed to get a Thermalright ...

very nice, this was exactly what i was planning, (seriously) maybe you could post your temps up aswell for us to see? i havent got my case yet, but when i do i will be lining it with acoustipack v2. one thing i wanted to know was how much space do you have on the back panel behind the MB, i was curi...

thanks for the response. i myself am running an oc'd cpu and ram on my system, and i wanted to get the p182 as i thought the idea of keeping the psu and HD in a separate chamber is a good idea for temps, and i also like the case as i want a quieter computer. but now im questioning if moving my compo...

i agree, the temps dont seem too bad. but after reading this thread, am i right that most of you guys are saying, there is no need for an intake fan at the front? what if you block of the vents at the back except for 1 with the s1, and have an intake fan, he only has an 800 sfelx so its not too loud...

i agree with most of the suggestions made by the guys on here. i would remove the fan from the lower chamber, hd temps wont get that hot. place the fan from the lower chamber as an intake fan at the front middle of the case. that should be enough to cool you GPU and MB and providing some intake if y...

ok thanks what about the top fan? its already a shame that the stock fans are noisy and need replacing, but then you cant even use the switch at the back then to control speed. i know fans are probably better to control in other ways but its still a feature of the case. i was going to just put a rea...

really nice tidy finish mate, much like i would like when i get my new case. i have read in other articles about the kama bay, i guess its a matter of preference but some say its not as effective. my question was about the grill, how easy was it to modify the front doors. i really want the p182, but...
