All of the new opportunities shown by Neil are from people with educations, who adapted new environments, and didn't constant complain and blame others. They saw a need and they stepped up to the plate. The nay-sayers are still at it and continue to be useless members of society. Liberals don't con...

Any Americans commenting about freedom, tell me the last time you saw nudity on TV. I personally would rather have my son seeing titties, than shooting himself with my 45. Pornography = freedom? You can see plenty of "titties" on cable TV, if thats what you really want. What does nudity have to do ...

I think a lot of people believe that the brisbanes are just as efficient as the Sempron LE. I'm not sure if it's worth the extra money, is what I'm saying.

The CPU at 4ghz can boot into Windows at anything over 1.3 vcore. Less than 1.344 vcore isn't stable when stress testing with Prime95 or Orthos though. :( 1.344 is your Vdroop. Your Vcore is actually higher in the bios. 1.365 maybe? I'm running 3.8Ghz at 1.30Vdroop. Your CPU actually runs at a lowe...

No way. It wouldn't run a stress test like Prime95 and pass for 24 hours on stock Vcore. Just booting into windoze is not enough. Is this an E8500 or E8400?

Hello comrades, the minute you start mandating how to live, and what they should be doing, you start on a trecherous path. If you want the gov't to control every aspect of your life, I'm sure europe would be glad to have you. Here in america, if you want to drive a ford explorer, that's your choice....

You can get a 120W pico PSU. Maybe if you had one of the new 36xx radeon cards coming out soon, this CPU, and a WD green hard drive, you could do it. Anyway, interesting to see your results so close to mine! I just crashed after 15 min of prime95... testing my 3.8GHz numbers. I may have to mount a f...

After you hit CTL-F1 you can overclock to your hearts desire. I think with mine, I can change the Vcore in .00625 increments, or something stupid small like that.

OP: you will be very happy w/ the DS3P, I guarentee it. That one is a step up from the one I have!

Those power figures from legion are crap, unless they turned EIST off. The difference in idle power consumption between 3.0 GHz and 3.8GHz was only 2W for me. Although, they are also severely overvolting the CPU, even at stock clocks, which makes no sense to me. Stock voltage is 1.225, why do they h...

A CPU that is just as fast as a Sempron LE, but more expensive and the same power demand, won't sell for crap. I don't see any advantage to it.

Depends on your definition of passive. See pic on page 1. I call that semi-passive, others would call it just PASSIVE. There are fans close by that have a large influence on it, lets just say THAT. :D

Do you think a 2.0GHz 65nm CPU with a 25W TDP is much different than some of the offerings from AMD. Some of the Athlon 64s or Sempron LEs could probably match this performance, with a lower cost and more flexability. Not to rain on your parade, or anything.

It probably won't happen. They dont' even have an 45nm wolfdale dual cores for $150. Right now, the E8200 is going for about $190. We might see that go down to oh... $160 or $170 by the summer time. The E8500 is supposedly a beast, because it is the creme de la creme of their wolfdale lots. Someone ...

I used to use an Audigy 2 ZS.. never had any problems w/ it. Some of the newer onboard audio codecs are so good, I decided to toss it and save 5W... I have the AC889 and it sounds great. My HTPC uses the onboard also.

It shouldn't be the power supply. Your system isn't using close to 380W, I guarantee. Sometimes, with overclocks, you are just trying a little bit too hard. Try stepping it down to 3.0GHz. You wont' lose that much speed, but it just might be the sweet spot. You can also crank down your voltage a lit...

Hi. The P35 DS3L is very hightly rated. It costs $90 and runs very well. I chose to get the DS3R, which is the next step up.
