Hello! There won't much much differences in temperatures between two fans I'd guess. Slipstream are pretty silent out of box but nexus are inaudiable at 7v. Eitherway both are good intake fans. Did he try to put you on prescription drugs? When I used to be hyperactive I just smoked a joint. I don't have persay hyperactivity, or else it would been regular ADHD... Antec NSK2400-series might be good case with appropriate cooler like Arctic Cooling Alpine 11 or Scythe Shuriken rev. B. Silverstone makes quite few good HTPC cases. Antec is another good that makes several size HTPC cases.

having idle temperatures in low 50's in passivecooled by small block of aluminium is quite good. Surface area in those heat sinks is only fraction what surface area is in Accelero S1 or S2's or Zalman VFN-100HP and no heat pipes. Its well with-in safe operating temperatures.
