Urgh. Hmm. I'll have to see if I go Corsair HX620, S12-650 Energy+, or see if an S12II-600 is going to exist for my next build.
*shrugs*
(yes, it is glorious overkill... but I've already got an S12-600 rev3 (?) in there now)

I have one P180 build with a SFF12D in it, no fitment issues with the frame into the middle of the chassis-- had to slide it in and lock it in... it didn't feel quite secure out of the case when the fan + frame were assembled, but installed, they were very secure. Haven't tried to fit it into the fr...

if you want top of the line, the Ultra-120 Extreme is one of the choices. If you're not all that sensitive to noise, a Nexus 120mm on it at 12v gives excellent performance. For even lower noise, tho, a Scythe Ninja has a lower-resistance design and should work better when low noise is a higher prior...

Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme review on xbitlabs
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/thermalright-ultra120ex.html Pretty good as I've come to expect from Xbitlabs. so... umm.. when does SPCR review it? :) I also like that they've upgraded to a Core 2 Quad Q6600 from their Core 2 Duo... although their Q6600 doesn't look like a spectacu...

Looks pretty good. I like how they emphasize their additional precision. It's a nice but ultimately more for bragging rights than any real utility to the average enthusiast. I am curious to see what their PSU test lab noise floor and whatnot turn out ot be, tho. :) HardOCP, Anandtech... nice to see ...

Nice, very nice!! Hmm, potential fanless (well, case-airflow-only) sibling to the Ultra-120 Extreme... smaller size means it's not as ideally positioned/shaped to take advantage of the case fans in a P180/P182 as is the Ninja, but damned nice nonetheless. I wonder if anyone else is going to consider...

Not much of a review-- Tom's Hardware's obsession with percentage increases continues. :p Once you've established that the TEC-equipped devices have a powerful-enough TEC and sufficient cooling for it, things like power consumption and heatsink efficiency become much more interesting-- how much more...

Hmm, I've seen this before. Not sure if it was here or not, tho. I need to buy a new 120mm CPU fan right now, I've got a Nexus 120mm on there but in an ill-advised 2am fit of modifying it to fit my new Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme I put a slight crack in the frame. OOPS. :( Not bad enough to inhib...

We haven't had any problems in production here, although FWIW, we do quite a bit of Linux here, and the Windows boxes here usually run extensively modified versions of Windows. Hmm... I assume our customers have addressed this. Our failure rates indicate this isn't a problem, although I can't say ho...

My Ultra-120 Extreme should be here tomorrow, I'll let you know. My Ninja rev A is happy cooling my [email protected]/1.325v... but it's not so happy with my new [email protected]/1.325v, particularly with summer here.

I've overclocked a few, and most tend to hit 3.2ghz+ without too much difficulty. If you're not planning to run at stock clock speeds I would grab the E6420. Only catch is with the 8x multiplier on the E6420, if you want beyond 3.2ghz you'll be OC'ing your ram as well. As I personally tend to go for...
