I guess this is what's improved, http://down.playwares.com/bbs/data/mutiupload/image/629cb6b2a5c94bd81cdd9cbbecbc53b3.GIF the google translation is horrible. edit, read some more, interpreted is more like it..looks like the fan is slower, and the fin spacing has increased a tad, so there's fewer fins.

just found some korean websites about the BADA2010, but I'm having a hard time seeing the difference. They mention the fan is 92mm? So might mean you'd actually be able to use a standard fan.. just curious what's improved. found a review that shows the 2010 performing worse, http://down.playwares.co...

Asus P5Q-EM, Intel G45 based with 1xPCIE x16 and 4 DDR2 slots. Cant share pictures of it, as it's currently installed in my system. I've got the original box, I/O panel, and I can offer various cables for it upon request. Does that, or can that, include QVL approved installed memory? I may also inc...

It uses a 92mm fan on an 80mm fan mounting. Silverstone has some fans like that. They are good fans. And you can always use an 80mm fan. Or maybe a 92mm fan attached to an 80mm adapter. The only issue is I don't know anything about the fan, I typically trust SPCR reviews to teach me about them, or ...

So, I think it's down to the Bada, Mini Ninja, HDT-SD964, and NH-U9B SE2. So I guess it's time to list pros and cons? Bada ~$50- Pros -seems to cool better than the others -has a low speed setting Cons -Proprietary fan, not sure if I can use a square 92mm fan. -Price Mini Ninja $30-40 Pros -Nice sym...

Re: Best tower heatsink 150mm or shorter
I'm going to be jumping into a mITX case soon, and it supports tower coolers, but no larger than 150mm. So far, the best coolers I can find, aside from the Corsair H50 is the Scythe Mini Ninja, and the Xigmatek HDT-SD964. The small Noctua is nice. The HDT-SD964 is basically the same. The "Minja" is...

At 125mm high there's the Noctua NH-U9B SE2 which includes, in my experience, the excellent SecuFirm2 mounting system. See http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=32&lng=en . Given that it has twin fans it may well be the best of the bunch at this size. Indeed, thanks for the lin...

Sapphire now has one. Sapphire IPC-AM3DD785G The only issue with it is that it's not available, and the webpage for it mentions it only supports 65W cpus. Plus it seems it's going to be marketed for industrial use, and not home users, at least based on the product description. Still, it's an option.

ryboto: It's the Sapphire I had in mind for this - the ONLY board with AM3/DDR3 for mini-ITX. MikeC: I see now that the Sugo actually is smaller than the Q07, but the Q07 has a smaller footprint (and larger front then). Will investigate further... / d It is the only one, unfortunately, and it isn't...

Sapphire has an AM3 785G mitx board coming. http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentatio ... =319&lid=1, supports a PCIE X16 card and DDR3. Probably be a bit cheaper than going 1156.

ilovejedd Looks like you really know your stuff. Which of these boards are most susceptible to undervolting? What about the rumored Gigabyte 1156 ITX board? Any thoughts on that? the Zotac GF9300-I-E can undervolt by 0.1v, and the K-E, which isn't available in the US yet, will possibly have the sam...

I bought a 15V version to charge lead acid batteries. Although it might be 12V output at a fairly high current, it doesnt say what the efficiency is. Im assuming that like with any switch mode psu, efficiency is going to be pretty low at small loads. I dont see the point in getting a 120VAC > 12VDC...

I don't know if my calculations are including enough information, but this result will get me to test it in practice. I'm going to fill my case (P182) with some material to reduce the airspace and check this in practice. The only issue is that the heat capacity of air is a function of pressure/temp...

As for a small itx case, silverstones sg07 can fit a full size atx PSU and tower heatsink. Are you sure about that? How tall of a tower heatsink can you fit into that case? Not sure, but it looks big enough for a tower. Still, I don't think they're going to sell it with the option for a standard at...

You're quire right that fanless psu's exist, I think this layout will be more flexible. I can't find a case I like so am probably making one. If I worked at a machine shop, I'd do the same. As for splicing the two bricks together, personally, I'd just feed the video card/atx-4 pin 12v with one, and...
