im going to wait for 9 to adapt to something new. Normally Window version not compatible would happen when using x86 drivers on x64 OS, are you sure you are using the x64 drivers ?
Maybe re download them to make sure.

Re: Which Seasonic PSU to buy?
Recently bought one of the Seasonic platinum's my self and am very impressed with it, particularly the hybrid fan mode.
I would echo what others have said about getting the 660, but i would spend the money saved on changing the GPU to a quieter version of the 670, something like the Asus or Gigabyte.

Re: Motherboard pins in the way of cooler backing plate
If the pins are the left overs from solder you could file them down a little, or maybe snip the ends off. You would have to take great care not to damage the board or leave any fillings on the board though. Or you could cut some plastic to go over the pins, raising the backing plate enough so it won...

Re: Jerky mouse pointer. Enhance pointer precision not worki
Enhance pointer precision is badly named, it should be called mouse acceleration as that's what it does, moves the pointer faster the faster you move the mouse. Some things to try all the same are to check your running the latest version of Setpoint, http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/support/3131?sectio...

Nero is not what determines the available write speed settings, it depends on a) the burner b) its firmware and c) the blank discs you use. If all three components allow 1x speed you will be able to write at 1x using Nero. Please check the details of your writer to see if this speed is generally ava...

If you didn't want to go with active cooling (using a fan) and cutting holes in the door, another option if it suited the surrounding decor could be to change the cupboard door for a louvre door.

I think that maybe because of the changes in the way 8 shuts down. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa373229%28v=vs.85%29.aspx It never really shuts down it just goes into a hybrid hibernation/shutdown state, So im guessing Microsoft didn't think we would want to manually ente...

The hottest research topic in CPUs should be finding a better solder, one that doesn't stress / crack the die. It's not just CPU's affected by this problem (BTW its the solder that forms cracks not the die) Since the European union banned the use of lead based solder in 2006 a lot of research has b...

We still don't know why Intel opted to go this route...I don't think is was to save a few pennies. My guess: is that it's something to do with the 22nm process node. Maybe the difference in coefficient of thermal expansion between the silicon in this process and the solder used was too high...maybe...

From my understanding and from what i researched on my 670 the %30 is not to do with the software but is a limit set in the VBIOS.
Unless you are willing to mod your VBIOS no matter how low you set a utility it will never drop the fan speed below %30

Re: Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell Processor
It depends on what chip you talking about but...
Sandy Bridge (Quad-Core)= Die size: 216 mm²
Ivy Bridge (Quad-Core) = Die size: 160 mm²
Haswell" (Quad-Core) = Die size: 177 mm²
So the Die sizes have dropped roughly in line with the reduction in the Fab process.
