None of my friends have a 6800 or 6800GT card... is it the 6600gt gigabyte? they have been reported to run very hot, over 100c even with active cooling. No, as i said, it's a Gi...

HELP: I can't get rid off coil noise {buzz}!!!
It seems my pc is doomed or something. :x The problem is everytime i play a video game (and only that time) my pc buzzes or squeals. The sound varies in intensity, depending the game and what's rendering on the screen. My current config: 2800+ Sempron, DFI 250GB LanParty NF3 754 mobo, 6800 128mb AGP...

Yes i know of this solution, but i'm afraid it will void the warranty. Also, it seems strange to me that when it buzzes, if i press the coil with my finger, nothing happens (just for the record, i've pressed ALL the visible coils on the mobo and nothing...). Anyway, the noise is definitely co...

Yes, i know this. The noise is 99% coming from right under the video card, on the mobo (Abit NF7 2.0, btw: http://www.sweclockers.com/html/recension/5_nforce2-moderkort/nf7s2.0_stor.jpg ) or from the video (can a video card have coil noise?! :? ). I know this because i've put my ear there and is far...

It depends wher this case will stand - under your desk with it's back to the wall by th sound of things. Yes, the case will stand under the desk, but the wall is far away from the back of desk\case. As far as i know, i don't have the problem you mentioned (the ~10C temperature difference). And the ...

The intake muffler design is not final. If it doesn't work, i'll make another one or exclude it from the system. On the bottom of the case i can't put one or two 12cm fans because multiple reasons: there isn't any space there (it will interfere with the mobo layout), the case is tall enough by defau...

IMHO.....It's quieter if you don't have any fan at the intake opening, but rather use an exhaust fan(usually at the rear) to suck through an intake. And it's better to have intakes at the lower rear or the bottom of the case...anyplace but the front. I'm assuming you have a choice in the matter.......

Good? Bad? Anyway, for the bottom intake fan i thought i'll make a muffler. This is what i have in mind: http://server2.uploadit.org/files/DeadGhost-intakemuffler.JPG The air will enter by the lateral sides of the muffler, on the left and right. It will be covered with some damping material. ...
