Re: Intel DH61AG Media Series Mini-ITX mobo

Another one HERE, dunno who the board manufacturer is http://home.coolpc.com.tw/if/ecs/thin-mini-itx/05.jpg That's the ECS board. Also just found this: Wibtek , lists six Thin ITX boards , I don't know if they are the OEM manufacturer but can't find them listed retail anywhere... And two other Giga...

Great info thanks, may buy this board in the new year but still awaiting the other Intel Thin ITX boards, due Oct/Nov, anyone heard why the delay? Also would be interested in comparison between the Intel DH61AG and other Thin ITX boards such as the Gigabyte GA-MSH61DI , or the Mitac PH10CI and the W...

Re: Viako Mini Letter ML-45 LEAP E-350 Barebones Nettop

Really clumsy cooling solution, why couldn't they find a way to use all that aluminium as a heatsink, e.g. on the lid? Or at least exhaust the CPU air directly through a vent. The board is the Giada MI-E350T , they produce a number of ITX boards including Thin Mini-ITX, be interested to know more an...

Anyone have experience with the Thin Mini-ITX DH61AG? This should have similar or even lower power consumption, with the built-in power supply.

Always wanted to try this, and interesting that such a thin strip of material is so effective at transferring heat.

Is the material easy to bend? or break?

And do you know of a similar source for heatsinks in the UK/Europe?

cheers :)

Did you underclock or tweak at all to get the idle power down to 20W? That's a pretty good power draw for the whole system.

Re: mini-ITX LGA1155: efficient PSUs? PicoPSU+brick? or othe

Useful info, esp that jonnyGURU review, thanks :)

I didn't know the laptop 'standard' was 19V, and perhaps that is why Mini-ITX boards with built in power supply tend to be 19V, e.g. the Intel DH61AG.

As efficiency ranks high in my choice, I think I'll go this way in future

Intel are coming out with a selection of Thin Mini-ITX boards in Q4, but can't find the link with the info :(

Other manufacturers are already on the case, e.g. Gigabyte MSH61PI.

MSI already produces the IM-945GSE-A, similar to the Intel D945GSEJT.

Re: Scythe Kozuti Low Profile CPU Heatsink

Well only way is to buy one, test it and find out :) Yes it would be more effective if there was a vent above the cooling fins, or if not then some space for the warm air to move away. And looking at the profile pics, seems there's say 12-13mm space beneath the fan to draw the air up, which should b...

I've been looking forward to this review. Thanks :)

Would the cooler also work if the fan blew upward through the fins? This would be ideal for mini-itx in low-profile cases, as the CPU cooler can double up as the case exhaust. Are you able to test this please?

Re: Sandy Bridge + i3-2100T -- why can't I get under 22w idl

The picos are generally not as efficient as the gold or platinum PSUs, due to the external power brick, but at 20w they are at 20% load, which typically means 80% efficient. Isn't it time there was another SPCR review of the Pico-PSUs, comparing it to standard PSUs that don't use an external power ...

Re: HDPLEX H3.SODD Fanless Mini-ITX Media Case

The estimated idle state DC power for the tested Asus P8H67-I Deluxe with i5-2500K and 4 GB RAM was 20W. The H3 sample system pulled 25W AC at idle, which suggests ~80% efficiency. This load is very low, and likely below the power level at which maximum efficiency is reached by the power supply. Th...
