We have two 720p 32 inch LCD TVs in the house. One is an almost 3 year old LG, the other is a 1,5 year old Samsung. Neither buzzes or hums. EDIT: I don't want to alarm you. I don't know if voltage/frequency has any effect on buzzing. In Portugal, we have 220V@50Hz at the socket, Canada seems to use ...

I must say that the stock fan cooler on my gfx card was twice as loud as my case fans. I have no experience with the Intel stock cooler, but the AMD stock cooler is pretty quiet at idle. I don't know how loud your gfx card is, but I'd start with that. Try running your PC without the gfx card to see ...

It looks great. I love it. Looks expensive, though. And I'm not sure if I would have the space to place such a large case. My P182 is already a bit too large. I just think having the 5.25'' bays near the bottom is a bad idea. I'm a lazy bastard and wouldn't like to bend over that much every time I w...

Right now the exhaust is running at 964 RPM (PWM) (...) As far as I can tell, that's too fast. I have a AC AF12025 PWM on my CPU heatsink. At idle, it runs at 550 rpm, therefore, it doesn't bother me. However, over 900 rpm that fan starts to get noticeable. Try running that fan at 800 rpm or under,...

How fast is your exhaust fan running? I have a 1200 rpm Slipstream at the rear exhaust of my P182. At 1200 rpm it makes a whooshy sound. I guess it might be the grill. But I'm running it at 800 rpm and it doesn't whoosh. Never had to raise the fan speed yet. Depends on the fan too. My 800 rpm S-Flex...

Just get a 800 rpm Scythe Slipstream and run it at 12V without worries. Cools better than a 120mm Tricool on Low and is a lot quieter too.

Having a 120mm fan at the front intake should lower your gfx card temps considerably.

My memory is faint, but I recall reading that the fan on that gfx card runs at constant speed and is loud.

Play it safe and get a Powercolor 4850 PCS, which throttles the fan. There is also a passive Gigabyte 4850 which seems to be good.

Adding a front fan should lower your temps significantly. Middle would disguise noise better, but the GTX260 is too long.

What would you all recommend for the upper back exhaust? A 800 rpm Slipstream should suffice for the rear fan. A 1200 rpm + fan controller if you feel you need some overhead for summer. You should know that less fans means less noise. I've tried running with no bottom fan and I wouldn't need one if...

I bought a cheap fan controller for the 1200 rpm fan. It's crap, though, I suspect it won't go any lower that 7V. But it does it's job. I had the exact same problem you are having. The top Tricool, on Low, made the P182's top panel vibrate a lot, so it hummed and rattled. Replacing the top fan with ...

Tricool on Low is very loud compared to a 800 rpm S-Flex or Slipstream. Get rid of them all. 800 rpm is enough. A Slipstream @ 1200 rpm is loud. If you have heat problems, add another 800 rpm fan in the middle position. Do not mount a Slipstream horizontally. It gets louder and won't last as much. F...

Based on looks, I'd say the NZXT Whisper is just an ordinary case with some foam applied to it. Build quality doesn't look great either. I'd say the Whisper is inferior to the P182/P190. The side panels are just single sheet metal with foam applied to them. Panels that large are bound to be wobbly a...
