Whoever took those pictures should sell his camera. Seriously. And never take another picture in his life.
Are those 140mm fans? Looks like it hangs over the northbridge heatsink but so does my Zerotherm BTF-90.

You have 3 fans, two exhaust and two intake? Interesting.... I have one intake that's on full speed 1200 RPM all the time. It's at the very bottom infront of the harddrives and the case is on the floor so it's not that annoying. Then I have one exhaust at the back in the typical spot. That one is vo...

Suggestion/request regarding GPU reviews
Hello, As of now, you GPU reviews are more about power usage (you actually show a comparison chart) than noise so I thought of something today that you guys could probably implement in your future GPU reviews and it has to do with noise and temps. Currently you only state the idle, which is fine, an...

Evident from this thread is that there's a certain amount of sample variance when it comes to buzzing and/or whining. I don't want to say this thread is useless as a result but there's no guarantee that the unit you bought won't make noise if someone in this thread said their unit was free of noise....

Someone up there must've forgotten about the Quiet / Noisy Monitor Survey . Monitors make no noise at all... Ha Ha good one  Get one that doesn't make noise?...

The 170W and 180W figures might as well be TDP. It's kinda hard to accept that a 40nm chip, even a powerful one, would draw way more power than its 55nm counterparts. So they should just concentrate on reducing power consumption? I think AMD and Nvidia have quite a different view on it. Die shrink ...

It's not like turbo increases power usage too much since it doesn't increase voltage. The multiplier is locked on the current Lynnfield CPUs so turbo mode can only work by increasing the cpu base frequency which you could call clock speed. You may not agree but by any definition that is overclockin...

I have to disagree about Turbo being overclocking. It the future of CPUs. You have to abandon the thought of 'quadcore' and 'dualcore' concept. They are merely resources. You could turn the tables around with these things. They are fast dual-core chips that can act as a slower quad-core when the app...

I'd say Intel has advantage in cooler running. E6300 is wonderful CPU. But Intel inteds to win in syntehtic benchmarks and take beating in game tests. Besides E6300 should have VT support unlike E7x00 series or E5x00 if I remember correctly. E5x00 are completely beaten in most game tests by X2 2xx ...

I thought it was pretty funny when in the Anandtech review they threw in an HD 4770 for some gaming and G41 with an E6300 was kicking the asses of the best AMD IGP chipsets. I'm not sure what you're talking about here. Using the IGP with both the Intel G41 and AMD 785, AMD "kicked" Intels butt. Wit...

As a budget enthusiast, overclocking is something I take for granted. Though it feels almost like stealing when you buy a budget CPU and OC it 50% or so when you paid 50% of the price. Well, almost feels like it. :D I'm mostly interested in idle conditions when it comes to noise and power consumptio...

I can say that I've got "beats" (some mod used this term here) with two HDDs in my CM690. Which is not very nice. Futhermore the sidepanel has a tendency to vibrate with the HDDs at times. The 64GB MLC Transcend set me back less than $150 USD shipped to my doorstep. NCIX.com (Vancouver) sells the OCZ Vertex 60GB and it would cost me well over $320 USD after taxes and shipping. Re: Anandtech on ION & Blu-ray
The problem is that while the Ion’s hardware decode engine can handle the video decode just fine, there’s a lot the CPU still has to do. When playing a standard Blu-ray disc there’s a lot of decryption that the CPU must do in addition to simply streaming the data to the GPU. On a modern day p...

Artic cooling Fusion looks good. http://www.anandtech.com/casecoolingpsus/showdoc.aspx?i=3516 I would like to disagree.
