Re: Best Value Socket 939 Heatsink?
Based on SPCR's review, the Scythe Ninja is apparently the best performer in terms of cooling performance... but it is fairly expensive.. which socket 939 comaptible hsf has the best performance per $? Stock is not bad cooler (just loud) if you already have it its less expensive than any other opti...

You would benefit from moving both hard drives to the upper bay. Suspend/soft mount them. Then moving your 80 mm fans up in to the rear upper of the area pulling air in over the drives. Use tape or foam the inside of that upper bay to cover the little holes in the side of the drive bay and defuse so...

How did you think using Acoustipack helped you in the war against noise? Was it worth it? Please, summarize and share you experiences! yes. I would say that if a precut kit exists for your case it is worth it. It is very quick to apply. If you have to measure, cut it, test fit, recut. It can take a...

Now, the only possible (minor!) downside is the glossy "piano" finish, which will likely show scratches more easily than a pebble or flat black? I kind of like the piano finish myself. But you are right, it probably will be more prone to fingerprints and scratches. The finish on my sonata has dulle...

Re: help me silence my pc.
I have read countless times in articles and in the forum that foam and other silencing kits are a last resort solution. You should always start by reducing the emitted noise, because that's the more efficient way to silence your computer. Besides with so many openings in your case, the noise will s...

Re: "ANTEC Solo" Has any one Seen this??
It is the music theme.Goldmember wrote: Is it SOLO as in "Hans Solo" or "Piano Concerto Solo Number 85 in B minor"?
The real question I wonder is why the MINUET, OVERTURE, SONATA get all caps.
Also it looks like they have dropped the Aria (for the NSK1300). Aria means Solo.

Welcome to SPC review. Some mod might move this to the advice forum. I think your hard drives might be the loudest thing. Look into a way to suspend your harddrives, you should find some immediate improvement. Think about only using one hard drive also. Looking at your case, it looks like many simi...

Scrool down to the life style section of the antec 2006 catalog. From the picture, and comparing the specs this looks like a black P 150 http://syndicate.tentoe.com/__FileManager__/Org_100_41/992/2006.ProductCatalog.4.6.06.ED.web.pdf WOW. now this is what every one here will smile about. Trying to digest the differences between the NSK6500 and the P150 Black. The only differences I can see are the TAC vents on the side panel, the included PSU (P150 comes with a NeoHE 430W, and NSK6500 has the TP2.0 430W), and the hard drive mounting system (P150 has suspension). Am I missing anythi...

powered coolers
You need to figure out if it is your case/NB temps or your component temps.
If it was just that your water need to be chilled a bit it might be a great application for a soft sided thermoelectric cooling bag.

Sorry, for the upper drive bay. That's pretty much what I'm looking for, just wondering if there is anything pre-made for the bays? Re: Is this really right?
3. How big of a difference does case dampening make? 4. The OCZ Powerstream 420 I have is spec'd for 22db. It's still a bit on the loud side. Any way short of popping it open to make it even quieter? Dampening can make a worth while difference. If you have an ‘elcheapo case then simply adding mass ...

I found my NV 4 very loud relative to its cooling power. First. The vent. Just having a big hole in that area was letting noise out. Second the whole thing vibrated. Using some electrical tape I reduced that. I changed the power of the fan but lost most of the cooling power. I had higher CPU temps a...
