For me the duct is of no use as i run watercooled, so i got the slk3700. I also got that because the 3000B isnt sold in Finland, not yet atleast.. The cases are not plastic, the front panel is but the rest of the case is steel. The door muffles the optical drives surprisingly good for being a plasti...

Seriously, painting the drives black isnt hard and i got mine pretty good. Clean with alcohol, paint thin coats. First a few layers of primer, then about five thin layers of the paint of your choice :) The plastic bits just clip off. These bits were previously beige. http://img.photobucket.com/album...

I tried googling for them in the usa too but didnt find anything on glacialtech or eveflow. I found 92mm Everflow with 9 blades on www.directron.com , it looks like these but its smaller. No 120mm though.. edit: Kivar--> Im shure your tests are correct, i didnt notice any vibration or bearing noise ...

Off topic i know, but the ending is similar the guide on antecs site how to make a silent commputer. The last thing on the list is as like this "11. Turn your $!@%# computer off and go outside for a change. Let’s be honest: the only way to create a truly silent computer is to turn it off. Really. On...

These are niice :D I bought one blue and one black(13,50€/12€) and they sound exactly the same, they hum   No seriously, no bearing noise i can tell of just the airflow wich is pretty quiet :) I would say airflow is about same as Nexus but these seem quieter at 12V, i can easily see me ru...

About the Ceramique/Silver i say the silver is better.. I used arctic silver 3 on my cpu and ceramique on my GPU, the ceramique is pretty thick and somewhat hard to remove even with acetone.. Harder than silver-paste at least. The ceramique probably has a purpose, i wont bother reading the specs to ...

I have no experience with seasonic products(i dont think they are even available here) and have never seen that Antec case in real life, reviews suggest its good though. The zalman 7000 fan isnt that quiet, i could hear it outside the case with it on the lowest setting. Could be just mine though.. i...

Started it without the HDs, and i can hear a slight humming sound and a clicking sound from then fan in the PSU wich is otherwise wery quiet, and all the sound seemed to come from the back of the case. Im not shure i recommend the Breeze though, the bottom-fan is exactly in the middle of the case, i...

Well it´s not loud by any means, but it isnt silent either.. All the sound seems to come fom behind the case, both 12cm fans spin at about 850-900rpm when idle so they arent making that much sound. I would say the HDs(especially the maxtor) are the loudest thing at the moment, ill restart the machin...

The HDs are warm when you touch them, without the bottom fan they were seriously hot! Tried using it without the botton fan for a day, now i know it doesnt work wery well  About the ducting, making it work wouldnt be that hard even witht the fan at the bottom of the PSU. You could make a stick-...

I have to try running it for a longer time and check if my pump does that.. I agree it is not totally silent, but honestly i think this is as close as you are going to get without sacrificing cooling performance. Still, it is wery quiet. As quiet you are going to get without totally passive cpu cool...

Nexus nx-4090 coil-buzz! anyone else have this?
Hi! I thought id ask if anyone else is experiencing this? It´s wery annoying, and louder then my Maxtor drive  Do you think its covered under warranty or is it something my system causes? I have this case, Nothing spectacular. No fancy stuff inside.. Everything mounts with screws. It isnt as big as it looks either, as the inside bottom of the case is actually maybe 7cm higher than what appears from the outside. If you like the looks its ok, it aint a bad case but nothing spectacular ...
