shathal: Point taken :D One thing about this case, though, is that regardless, there will be some heat being generated, and so when it rises/leaves the case, cooler air from the outside will be drawn in. So, I'm guessing that it still doesn't prevent dust build up overtime will it? It would be minim...

eh, I think it's pretty cool, even with the high cost. I mean, how many times do you upgrade your case compared to your system? I still have an old mid tower case from 10 years back that's still in use, just pretend you upgraded your whole system and wait 2 years ;) I still don't see why there are s...

How do you remove the fans from the isolaters, do they come off wth some elbow grease or do u have to cut the ear isolater?

Oh and how good are those hard drive isolaters compared to the ones supplied in the Antec 3700 AMB? They do fit, right?

Would frontal fan help me...?

I have abit of dust collecting near my optical drives (case is 3700amb), and I'm guessing it's because the frontal filter at front is reducing air intake (I blocked the hole at bottom). Would putting a fan behind the filter at the front help suck in enough air to reduce the amount of air being pulle...

Dealing with dust in PSU's?

I'm wondering if any of you have had a large build up of dust in your PSU? Every month or two I usually have to do some fan cleaning as a thin layer of dust/grime/etc build up, and temps slightly increase. Wondering what it's doing with the PSU...

When you were doing this mod, did the metal connector that holds the pin ever get loose (due to "picking" at it to get the red cable out)? If so, what did you use to tighten it?

Low Voltage CPU

Hello, I've been looking for another CPU/Mobo combo that wouldn't use too much electricity. I'm considering perhaps an AMD Barton 2700+ as they are quite cheap right now and are unlocked. The mobo on my mind is the Albatron KX18D PROII, but I'm not exactly sure of it's undervolting/clocking options....

My current server computer is using an early XP cpu (hmm maybe 1500+?) and had one of those dinky free heatsink/fans on. Case fan is 120mm Panaflo "low" and temps usually range in the low/mid 50's. Even at load it's never gone higher than 65 degrees c, and there's no thermal paste. Running for almos...

I'm also looking for a decent speed cpu that uses up little electricity when idling or hosting web files (24/7). Would an intel 2.4c with underclocked fsb work or would it still border high watt usage? Would using a laptop + ext hd be better? :?

And based on my previous experience with the 120mm Panaflo L at 5v-- it's quiet, but then again it's m...

Metaluna, was your Yamaha CRW-F1 retail or oem? Have you ever thought of custom modding your drives with a thin gasket?

Frosty: Yes, IMO a Panaflo 120mm "low" at 5v is pretty quiet, I doubt you will notice it when your using your computer.

You'd want to go with the Seasonic's, unless you can keep the case temp relatively low...not sure what the minimum temp would be to keep it inaudible either. The Super Tornado would be preferable over the Super Silencer. :D
