Need TV to connect to laptop
I am looking to buy a large tv (at least 42") on which I can display stuff from a vga connection on a laptop. I have heard that the tv should have a PC mode that will display 1024 x 768, and aspect ratio correction ability. What i gathered from googling it that almost any tv can be used, but I would...

What setting (rpm) and what fan exactly do you have? Any fan, unless it is running at 300 or so rpm, can be heard when you try to listen to it up close. As for what's good, it depends what you want it for. For general case fan I would say slipstream 800 if you want quiet. Just look at the fan roundu...

Recommend stereo headset for phone please
I am looking to buy a headset for my LG Dare phone on which i can listen to music and talk. So it needs to have a microphone and preferably be in-ear. Being bluetooth capable is not required but would be nice. So far i have some choices: Sony Ericsson HBH-DS980, HTC BH S100. Thanks for any tips. so....

Although I dont know if they used the same fan when testing the S1 and the T-Rad, it looks like S1 is still the king ( and much cheaper).

I didnt find anything on the asus site that has compatible ram. As you mentioned i want to get a 1:1 outcome. But since I currently have my cpu oc'd and plan on increasing it to approximately 3.0 ghz, I think I will need ram that can handle a slight oc as well. My thoughts are to make the fsb around...

Id say its the 256mb GDDR3 to blame. COD likes 512mb once you start cranking up the res. Does it happen at the same point in the game, on startup, or randomly? It happened right as i clicked apply new values. Looks like I will have to put my accelero S1 on it. I've been too busy to do it previously...

I have been using evga's precision tool. Its based on rivatuner, but much easier to use. The fan is set to 40% when idle and it goes up to around 70% for load. So you think that my inability to play games is because of the temps? I have been testing that with stressers like furmark and ati-tool's st...
New RAM?
I have been getting the urge to get new RAM since the price is ever so low. I have looked at MB2 's topic and have a similar question. What is the best kind of ram for me? p5b deluxe/wifi intel e6400 (2.72 w. 340 fsb x 8) ocz plat rev 2 2gb ram. (850 mhz) I was thinking of simply adding another 2x1 ...

I have been having a problem with my graphics for quite some time now. For a long time i have not been able to play any serious games. Things like starcraft run fine, but when i try loading up COD4 or Area 51 (last years games), it gets frozen at menu screens. I may be mistaken but I beleive this al...

Sony DVP-FX820 portable dvd
I just bought the Sony DVP-FX820 player for my moms birthday. Its in a few days and i still have time to return if something. My question: since it says it only has "DVD/DVD-RW/DVD-R/DVD+RW/DVD+R/DVD+R DL, CD, MP3 and JPEG Playback" will i be able to burn .avi files onto a dvd and play it? I know th...

Even includes 2 videos for those who aren't too familiar with pc insides.
It looks like they are using parts that are widely recommended here. So it brings me to think that someone at extreme tech checked this place.

There is a coaxial running through the house up to a hd cable box. its provides service from some company in NJ, not sure which. Thanks for all the tips. We got a 46" Samsung LN46A650. Once set up I wish we went with a larger screen, but its still very nice. But there's something wrong: mostly when watching HD channels, there is some small interference. It is currently set up with component cables. I was wondering if using an...
