Put motherboard vertically. I think HR-01 or Ninja with proper mounting would work. And take only one HDD. Put it in Scythe Quiet Drive and that on foam. For CPU take those never C2D:s as they run cooler. You still might have to undervolt it. I would say that you might have a success with no fan thi...

Have you tried just with middle fans? It should work if your radiators have low restrictions. And if your rads has higher impedance slipstreams are not for you as they don't handle impedance well. Maybe new gentle typhoons should suit you well.

Slipstreams work great on low restriction systems. I would take two faster slipstreams and use fan speed control with them. And because you live on hot climate I would probably take also intake fan or make second exhaust. But it depends on that how hot your case will get with just one fan. Generally...

Well TRUE is most powerful cooler tested in SPCR. IFX-14 might be a bit more powerful. But HR-01 Plus shines on low air situations. And has enough capability to cool.

I installed HR-01 plus in my friend computer with AM2 socket. If I remember correct I removed the stock bracket from the board and used the coolers own "bolt-thru" bracket. I is really secure and easy installation. Thermalright had also included good installation guide. I can recommend HR-01 way ove...

It depends lot of the environment where you listen your comp. I have 3 noctuas spinning about 600 rpm at the moment on P182. One at the front, one at the middle of lower chamber and one at the CPU. Case is on floor behind/side of my desk and I can still hear the fans. Gentle hum. I try at the future...

I once think that intake fans were useless. But when I upgraded my friend computer it proved otherwise. It was normal mid tower case with one 12 cm exhaust opening, one intake opening at same size, two smaller openings at side and PSU on top. I put there PSU with 12cm fan, 12cm slow fan at back and ...

I think that alleycat enclosures are the best way to enclose drives. That and quiet drives. You'll probably have no problems...

I have a scythes quiet drive on F1 and it needed to be suspended and even on that situation it didn't isolate enough noise.

That is certainly true. I actually run CCleaner registry cleaner at now and then, but never thought that I should do it right after uninstalling a driver.

Question about gaming and crossfire

Hello

I have a question about crossfire.

My system has DFI ICFX3200-T2R, C2D 6750, 4Gb memory and HD 3870 512Mb

What is my problem is that games does not run smoothly with 1280x1024 resolution. So would I have much gain about second HD 3870?

Yours
Tero

I think that thermalright HR-01 Plus would be the best choice for quiet. Or if you want ultimate performance with some noise Ultra extreme or even IFX-14 (Which should work fanless also). One thing you should do with Tr products is lapping cooler and CPUs heatspeader.

Probably not. But I'm trying to remember what kind of voltage new drives use? Do they use 12 volt or lover lines? Ok it looks like drives take max 3-5 wats from 5V line and something like 10-30 watts from 12V line at max. Mainly those numbers affect on drive spinup/start. And 9 to 20 watts overall m...
