In that case I recommend the Seasonic M12II. I have the 430W version and I'm very pleased with it, defenitely quiet.Ofek wrote:The Nexus PSU's aren't available here in Israel
The Seasonic X Series are very expensive.

If you go passive, extra cooling or decent airflow might be necessairy because your case is rather compact. My father has a Gigabyte HD4850 with a passive cooler in an Asus ITX case (almost no airflow) and it runs 90°C idle! Two minutes of Furmark and the system crashes, which is why I'm thinking o...

I hope to suspend my HD somewhere this week, I would like to copy this approach. To me this seems to be the easiest and most effective way without making it look shabby. Hopefully I can find the right materials. http://www.black-talon.org/pics/1/BQE_HDD_cage_01_600.jpg Once I have this done I will p...

Since I have a Sapphire HD5750 Vapor-X and the difference with a HD5770 is minimal I can add some information about the general acoustics of these cards. The noise is clearly reduced compared to standard coolers. I did find it a bit noisy though. Via CCC manually lowered the rpm to 25% instead of 50...

Thanks for all the positive reactions. I do have one question though. I haven't found the time to do some proper testing as promised, but I already found out the hard drive is the noisiest part. I used the Lian Li HDD cage with rubber screws to mount my WD Black Caviar - for those who don't know thi...

As stated somewhere in my post: I haven't tested the Lian Li stock fans properly. They produce more noise and less airflow compared to the Nexus fans on 12V, but I'm sure they will be fairly quiet on 7V or 5V. But even on 12V they did not seem to make an awefull lot of noise, therefore they are too ...

Inside my new Lian Li PC-A05N
At the end of last year I decided it was time for a new computer. The one I was using had the honor of serving me for almost 5 years without a single upgrade - impressive! But it became slow, and most of all extremely noisy. Ever since I discovered SPCR I've been dreaming of a new PC, some weeks lat...

New Nexus VCT-9000 CPU cooler
Information can be found on the official Nexus site. Looks great, finally a decent Nexus cooler with a 120mm fan! I couldn't find much information so far though, hopefully this will be a excellent cooler. Any ideas on a possible price? A Finish site I found stated €54,50, no idea if that's trustab...

Thanks for the advice! I do insist on a modular PSU. The case I selected isn't that large so I want a good airflow and I hate cable clutter. I hope Nexus will some day release a modular version of their Value 430... The RX-5300 seems okay, but I haven't found enough reviews to make a fair judgement....

Which PSU to replace Corsair HX520?
Hi there! My first post here, I hope to find some useful advice here. A few days ago I ordered myself a new PC by a local webshop: Azerty.nl. This was the original list with parts. As you can see, this system is supposed to be a combo of 'best bang for te buck' and silence. - Corsair HX520W € 82,0...
