Rusty: it also has a -diode reading, which upon trying gives a reading of -79 degrees. However by default MBM lists ITE8712F-2 as the CPU temperature. When i switch to ITE8712F-2 Diode it drops about 3 degrees. burcakb: MY sig isnt exactly accurate. The CPU fan isnt at 5V, and the two case fans are ...

Temperature Sensors

I have a Giga-Byte GA 7n400 Pro 2 Motherboard. When I configured MBM5 to show the third thermal sensor (named: ITE8712F-3) it came up with a temp of 74 degrees. does anyone know what this sensor is monitoring, and if so, is that temperature likely correct. A full description of my system is in my pr...

the sonata is much quieter than the lanboy. simply because the lanboy is not designed as a quiet system. however you might want to consider the slk 3700bqe instead. you can get it for about 80 bucks online with its power supply.

I currently run a 2500+ mobile at 2.2GHZ, with an extremely quiet fan. It is nearly silent and my temps are about 53/32. (constantly running folding@home).

Your temps are fine. Also, whenever i have used AS5 i have noticed that the burn in period is something real. After about a week the temps should stabalize lower by at least a couple degrees. Either way, 39/47 is nothing bad, those are still perfectly normal and even on the low end (especially for a...

As i said earlier, the back outtake fan should be able to accomadate a 35mm fan (unless you have a special piece of hardware that blocks it) but there probably wont be room on the front tray.

You should probably spend the money to get a higher quality PSU than the one you have now. You might be able to get away with using the old psu, but the rail voltages probably won't be very good and in the long run it could damage your new mobo and processor.

I have used the p160 on a couple builds and i love it. A 35mm thick fan may fit, depending on the layout of your components, on the back mount. However im pretty sure that the front tray requires a 25mm or thinner. Also if you want to use a 120mm fan on the cpu you can use an xp-120 instead of the s...

Modularizing your favorite PSU

In addition to liking quiet computers i enjoy tinkering with everything in them which caused me to stumble across this modularizing kit for your PSU at frozen cpu. I already modularize mine (not having those extra wires is so great) but this solution is much more elegant. Finally might actually be a...

I kinda miss the point of a fan that pushes that little air. It doesn't seem like it would really give that much of a benefit. Not to mention given coolermasters history of citing less than truthful decibel ratings (at least as seen in the reviews at SPCR) i doubt that it is only 13dba.
