Yeah, it'll fit. I don't know how that guy managed to put the silver bracket by the capacitors, though... he must've been in danger of snapping the caps right off! I put the blue bracket by the caps instead... I have no idea why Zalman says the blue one has to be beside the socket lever. And of cour...

I used to use one with a Panaflo L1A on my XP1700+ @ 2GHz (1.75v). It was fine under load as long as the case was open (I had poor ventilation).

I'm sure with a faster fan, it can cool a 3000+ Barton no problem.

Well, I just got an L1A from Directron, and it's made in Japan. It does not click--at least, not to the point where it's noticeable outside the case. I'm running mine at the full 12 volts. At any lower voltage, it just doesn't move enough air. It's a tradeoff, I guess. It's true my 5v Panaflos don'...

Yeah, I agree with johnjkr... a new (good) PSU usually fixes the problem. For me, it was the combination of nForce2 motherboard, Radeon video card and Enermax PSU. Do you have another PSU you can try? That'll narrow it down for sure. If so, the only things hooked up to it right now are the motherboa...

On my Biostar board, I have no control over the ratio's, so I can only conclude that the nForce2 maintains 33MHz PCI and 66MHz AGP regardless of FSB. You would be correct. nForce2 boards keep the AGP at 66MHz and the PCI at 33MHz at all times, which is great when you're trying to overclock the FSB....

I second Juha's suggestion. In my config, it was the Radeon that was causing the coil whine in my Enermax PSU. Unplugging the Radeon's power got rid of the whine (but also rendered my video card useless). The remedy was to get a new PSU. :(

Yeah, but then you'd be evacuating heat from the PSU... which is what we wanted to avoid in the first place.
