Wow ! That's probably one of the ugliest cases I have ever seen.
Also it looks useless airflow wise. Air will escape/enter anywhere.

Horrible, simply just horrible.

But that's just my opinion. :)

Are your harddrive(s) hardmounted?

If yes, they should be suspended in some way to decouple the harddrive(s) from the case.
That should eliminate most of the vibrations.

Yes I know I can't upgrade the RAM. 1 GB is plenty for XP or any Linux distro so thats no problem. I wouldn't call a "less than 20W" 24" screen powerhungry. Far from it. I currently use a 22" and I'd really like to have a screen atleast the same size again as I like to edit photos/videos sometimes. ...

Fit-PC2 + Dell G2410 = Sub-30W web browsing PC?

Hi, I'm considering buying a Fit-PC2 and a Dell G2410 to get the "ultimate" low power web browsing PC. Fit-PC2 is rated at 8W MAX. Tests shows that it can occasionally go up to 10-11W depending on the HDD used. I will be using my MTRON 32GB which shoud hold the power usage to a minimum and make sure...

Just tried CoreTemp and Everest. (Speedfan is NOT offset)

So about +17 offset in SpeedFan seems correct in my case.

Is there a built-in offset for Brisbane cores in CoreTemp and Everest?

Brisbane core CPUs and Speedfan

Hi, Most of us here know that the DTS sensor in Brisbane core CPUs is broken and shows wierd (low) temperatures in SpeedFan. Mr. Milani-Comparetti (creator of SpeedFan) tells me that he is considering adding a built-in +29C temperature offset on the 4850e. Is +29C realistic? Seems quite high to me. ...

Phenom II x4 905e to replace 4850e can PICO handle it?

Hi there, I feel that its time for a CPU upgrade. I'm thinking Phenom II x4 905e. Mainly because I play quite a bit of Football Manager 09 which is pretty CPU heavy when playing with large databases loaded. Currently i'm running a 4850e on my Jetway NC81-LF(onboard WiFi) with 4 gigs of RAM and a Int...

Sorry for hi-jacking this thread a bit. What is the type of the junction box that you used to splice the wires from your mating connector to the PW-200's leads? It's a terminal strip And, do I see some kind of a red connector/switch for the trigger/remote line of DA-2? No. It's a (what is the Englis...

A 200+W dc-dc board like the PV-200-V/M + a Dell DA-2 brick should run that system just fine.

I ran this system of a PV-200-V and a Dell DA-2 brick with no problems.

Well Zalman are now claiming the shroud is only there to protect the cooler during transport and should be removed prior to use. What do you think about the NSK6580 ? To me it seems to just be a larger version of the 3480. I can get that for $129 with PSU. Over at the Whirlpool forums people recommend it. Hi Sam. Welcome to SPCR ! For good cooling its hard to beat the NSK3480 IMO. I would swap the fan in the PSU though. Its not THAT quiet. Running a 1200 RPM Slipstream in the bottom chamber should have your 5200+ and HD4850 running cool enough. Especially if you undervolt the 5200+, tape up the front...
