Hi, I am using XFX 7600GS (passive) since 2 years and temps are: idling: 50-55C load (old games or benchmarking): 75-80C Your GPU temp is very safe and you have a lot of margin before things can get nasty - somewhere around 100C. As of CPU - sorry I can't help because my last AMD CPU was A64 3500+, ...

Hi, Looks that you are preparing for big battle - like me 2 years ago ;) After all, I found most of this extra stuff not needed. Now I have 2 fans (started with 4! ) in main chamber of my P180B - back and PWM fan on Ninja - just for summer period. Result - very quiet system: E6600@3.6 GHz wit...

A64 3800+ with Zalman 9500 and two passive 7600GTs now with a 120mm Scythe blowing air to them from the front intake. The two TriCools and the Zalman run at 5V, the Slipstream is not yet undervolted and runs at 800rpm. The Zalman is the biggest source of fan noise in the system, but the TriCools ar...

Nice idea, but.... In late 1970's and 1980's Soviet Union operated a number of nuclear submarines with reactor cooled by liquid metal. This construction has one important downside - they had to keep cooling system hot when reactor was off because temperature of the coolant should not drop below cert...

I've used Nexus as top exhaust by 3 months without any problems. Now this same fan is in my PSU - another 6 months. So, 9 months horizontaly and no single problem. Might I ask what voltage you run them on? Is 7V enough to keep them more silent than the TriCools? From my experience (I'm using 6 in 3...

Hi,
Until you will get replacement, you can run fanless. I have fanless Ninja Rev. B attached to [email protected] GHz and working just fine. Max temp at load - 70C (everest core1 and 2) but very, very rarely so high. Idle - 40C.

Hi! I agree with MikeC. It's really improving air flow - I got 4-5 degree less just cuting grills. About your OC'ed CPU - I think that you can push much more. I have Ninja without any fan and my E6600 is happy to go even above 3510MHz (I have to discusse this with my mobo :-) ). But before you wil t...

Hi! This is my first post here but i'm reading spcr since about a year. Very informative forum (and website too). As english is not my first language, sorry for far from perfect wording. To the point: I have P180B and in upper chamber sitting E6600 (often OC to 3.15 GHz or more) with Ninja Rev. B (p...
