Is this the right place to talk about my sudden hair loss..?

Post by Deheinx » Mon Jun 14, 2004 9:39 am

Okay... I have contracted SPD (Silent PC Disease) and am rapidly losing my hair. (From pulling it out)

I get one part quiet and then another part stands out even more I get that one quiet and then the next and so on... :x

How long till I get the quiet PC I am trying for?

Balancing, air flow, heat, sound, my head is spinning!!!

Tell me, will I ever get to a place of acceptance with my rig before I run out of money? :?

Sigh... if only the Zalman case wasn't $1200.00....

Maybe with a little practice you could find a way to use emoticons. :)

There's always Hair Club for Men :o

BTW too much Vitamin A in your diet will cause hair loss.

Also don't forget that hearing loss usually comes with age, esp. if you're a baby boomer who attended frequent loud concerts when young according to some reports. So look forward to the bright (and silent) future where silencing your computer is as simple as taking the batteries out of your hearing aid :-)

Nice one, Lenny. I would say that for most of us, upgrading some aspect of our PCs is a thing we do every 6-months (or even more often). I guess the best thing you can do is spend your money on silent parts every time you get that unforgiving urge to upgrade and eventually, you'll have a quiet system!

Make sure you check out the fatwallet hotdeal forum post on hairloss. Hundreds of posts. Very informative. I have been getting Dr. Reddy's Finast, a reputable Indian pharmaceutical company's copy of finasteride, the 5 mg pill of the chemical in the 1mg Propecia. I cut it in four with a walmart pill slicer and voilà, I pay $50 for a years supply. I get mine from medicindrugstore.com, been getting it for two years... no problems.

Thanks Guys...

With this outpouring of support and sympathy I can endure the baldness in the pursuit of my silent PC.

You guys rock! :)

When they tell you to break out a pair of earplugs and use them to shock mount your case fan... Well, just stick'em in your ears.

If you know what I mean.

You have to make a choice hairloss or silence, it is up to you, I got nearly 1000 in my pc now and it is so silent, I can hardly use it, if now busy with projex, my gf is now using it cos it is so silent!!
