Are most mini ITX motherboards undervoltable?

Will a typical socket 370 mini ITX motherboard have the options to undervolt the CPU VCORE in the BIOS? I plan to use a socket 370 Pentium III undervolted and underclokced if possible in a mini ITX motherboard.

Actually, IIRC, you wanted to build a fanless machine right? I'd recommend going w/ one of the passively cooled mini itx's.

I dunno if that particular store is any good, but they seem to have quite a bit of info. If you google mini itx, lotsa info is available.

Correct. I do want to build a fanless PC. That is why I want a motherboard with good undervolting capability.

I don't think any of the mini itx boards with via c3 cpus allow undervolting (see the manual on via's website) - since you can't swap the cpu (they don't have a socket 370), I doubt via thought there would be any need for changing the voltage. Although you may be able to undervolt other miini itx boards such at P4 or centrino versions (the centrino will be very expencive).

There aren't many Socket 370 mini-itx mobo's out there, and those that do exist seem to have very minimal BIOS options. The Via Epia's really dominate the mini-itx market, and since they can run fanless stock, I doubt that they have vcore adjustability.

You may want to cruise through mini-itx.com....they've got reviews of several mini-itx boards.

And since a PIII @800-1000Mhz is still only in the 20watt range, I'm not sure that undervolting would even be necessary.

Most Socket A heatsinks will work for Socket 370, including the Zalman flower's and the swiftech MCX-462-V that you mentioned earlier.
