Finally a socket 939 Micro-ATX board is coming!
Hi all!
As many of us I was wondering when there will be a socket 939 Micro-ATX available.
While I was browsing an on-line computer shop, I found one! Look here:

The MSI RS480M2-IL! Not available though, but at least there seems to arive something... The board isn't listed on the official MSI site...
It features a ATI Xpress 200 chipset, which was recently in the news:

USB problems? Let's see what happens...
I'm specially wondering about the power usage of this chipset.

I found it nice and cheap here (I found it with a couple places up to 30 bucks cheaper, but they don't look as reputable).
It looks like a damned nice board; I'll be getting it for my Aria system, assuming I get to build it.

Good find! But unfortunately:Mats wrote:Here's a review of the MSI board without VGA.
So, no undervolting... well, at least no ordinary undervolting.ocworkbench.com wrote: The CPU used is a FX-53 (2.4G). Notice that the CPU speed is 2388MHz as the FSB was fixed at 199.00MHz. There are no options to change the FSB, multiplier, voltages etc.
Yeah, I saw that. Thought you might be interested... Maybe it will change with a newer BIOS.Prahella wrote::( So, no undervolting... well, at least no ordinary undervolting.ocworkbench.com wrote: The CPU used is a FX-53 (2.4G). As a side note, has anyone seen a PCI express riser card anywhere? I'm thinking that a 939 mATX board would go very well in this case
http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-lc11.htm
but it comes with risers, for AGP.
EDIT: Bit of an update Silverstone have no plans for a PCI-E riser

upside-down motherboard mount? will this allow for use of heavy heatsinks like zalman 7000Cu or will it place excessive stress on the board and the mounts?dis wrote:As a side note, has anyone seen a PCI express riser card anywhere? I'm thinking that a 939 mATX board would go very well in this case

Actually, if you're seeking a small 939 system, there are 939 SFF barebones out already -- Shuttle & Soltek for sure, don't know who else. No integrated video, like the 915 chipset. With so much crammed into these SFF, I think they are actually a great alternative to pulling one together from scratch -- mATX boards so often have minimal BIOS & small case options are still not great...
