Why nobody has posted yet?

That's an excelent review, and, I'm sure, it's very useful.

Nice review, although comparing the noise of a card that has been heavily customized in regards to cooling by the OEM to a reference 290X as an opposition is quite meaningless and might cause some to draw the wrong conclusion. Unless you wanted to include a reference card, but then, maybe using an nvidia one would be better?

401k.
I'm brazilian.
I have never heard that.
Thank you for making me learn more.

Is that card the only one (GTX 980 ti) that can monitor the every fan individually?

Thanks for the timely review Lawrence. I've been planning to pick one up next week... I'm just thankful I held onto the GPU support bracket that came with my Cooler Master CM 690 II.

Why aren't gpu support brackets more readily available?

One minor thing that I think is worth a mention (but perhaps that's just because I'm coming from using a 670 DirectCU II) is that Asus have flipped the power connectors so the latch is now on top of the card which should make removing the 8pin cables much easier. On the 670 (and to a lesser extent, the 7XX series), the power connectors have their retention clip latches pointing toward the bottom. Which means, in order unlatch the connectors, you had to have squishy fingers or the hands of a homunculus to remove the cables.

According to TPU, MSI GTX 980 Ti Lightning is the fastest and quietest GeForce on the market.

I'd want to see that reviewed by SPCR.

MSI has been manufacturing the quiestest (imo) GPUs, even quieter than Asus, although the asus are really good also, its just they have more aggressive fan curves toward the temp threshold, or worst cooling that allows to reach those temps easier on an equal load. The problem with MSI is they dont submit samples.

In "The Asus GTX 980 Ti Strix OC is a double threat", is the last "h" intentional?

Some claim that the samples sent to reviewers were cherry picked, and average retail 980 Ti Lightning are not so good.
So in case of a SPCR review, it would be wise to buy one, instead of being sent one by MSI.

Yeah - not a problem as MSI doesn't respond to SPCR requests for samples. :D
