Re: Zotac GeForce GTX 950 Video Card
Thanks a lot, Lawrence, for the nice add!
Re: Zotac GeForce GTX 950 Video Card
I have this card as I was looking for a smaller sized card for a MiniITX install. I'm not a fan of the included fan too much as it does have a little chatter sometimes. Also within the confines of a smaller system it can heat up more and the fan profile quickly ramps up. I have tested up to 79C when the fan was auto adjusting up to 98%, hence I assume the fan curve by default runs to 100% at 80C. I intend to replace the heatsink with an Accelero and see how this works.

Does an S1/S3 fit in your Metis?

I don't: though the GTX 950 is the same GM206 chip, so mounting holes should be the same of the GTX 960.

Sort of. The length of the heatsink is OK for the case but with a longer 160mm PSU the modular PSU connectors would interfere with the heatink unless you cut things down a little. Heatsinks are easy things to cut though.quest_for_silence wrote:Does an S1/S3 fit in your Metis?
I think it's 60mm square from my measurements before.xan_user wrote:does anyone know what the hole spacing for the heatsink is?

Thanks for the review.
Would've been cool to see, though, how much the 960 can be undervolted via power target and core clock while maintaining its performance. The difference in power consumption is high. Mine has a bit "loose" voltage

Any sign of the 4GB versions yet?
