My quiet SOLO
I've recently built a quiet rig based on info gathered from this site (SPCR rocks!). Here are the specs:
CPU: Intel Core2 Quad Q9400 2.66Ghz, FSB 1333Mhz, 6MB cache L2, socket 775
CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster GeminII S, 120mm PWM CoolerMaster fan (stock)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R, Intel P45 chipset, socket 775
Memory: Kingston HyperX 4GB DDR2 800Mhz CL5 Dual Channel kit
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue WD6400AAKS, 640GB, 7200 rpm, SATA II, 16MB cache
Optical Drive: LG GH22NS40 DVD-RW, SATA, Black
GPU: Sapphire HD4850 Vapor-X 512MB DDR3 256-bit
Case: Antec SOLO
PSU: Enermax Pro82+ 525W
Case fans: 1 x Nexus RealSilent 120mm @850rpm (exhaust)
1 x Nexus RealSilent 92mm @7V (intake)
Some pictures:
I can't hear the computer from 1m away during the day (during the night a very soft woosh can be heard if I close the window).
Idle temps:
Temps load:
CPU: 59-60C (max Core Temperature) with Intel Burn Test v1.9
GPU: 61-62C (max GPU Temperature) with FurMark
What do you think?

Sapphire's Vapor-X cooler is in my opinion the best GPU air cooler on the market today. It's absolutly silent in both idle and load and keeps the hot RV770 chipset under 70C in FurMark as you can see above.
P.S.: the is no need to rename the Furmark executable file. I'm using the newest Ctalyst 9.6 drivers and FurMark 1.6.5. The thing you are refering to happend with Catalyst 8.11 (or 8.10 I can't remember exactly).

The author of Furmark did state that ATi furmark protection in Catalyst is still persistent. Anyway, I anticipate your renamed furmark.exe burning result.
