GB Main board with USB 3 and HM 55 chipset, built in video.

4GB, Nexus R5300 PSU, stock Intel cooler for now. (Amazingly quiet, I am stunned)

1TB WD Black.

Soon to be a Corsair NOVA SSD, I hope :) then it would for sure be TOO Silent :)

External DVDrw for when I need it.

Noctua case fan is so silent I am stunned.

Noctua 9 CPU cooler on order. Thanks Tiger Direct for your epoxy slow shipping :)

Darn, not sure how to post pics. Will link to Picassa...

Wow 4 smilies. Very nice, keep us updated.

Clarkdale right, how low will she undervolt?

Any noticeable electrical noise such as coil whine?

Looks like you have a lot of empty room in their. Why not use a smaller case?

Thanks. No electrical noise that I can tell. Not even going to try undervolting. No reason to.

I MAY get some foam blocks to fill empty drive bays just on general principle to absorb and stray sound waves they possible can.

I believe it will be an order of magnitude COOLER when my Noctua cooler comes!

I want to increase my productivity with this computer and hope to work right next to it for long profitable hours. Now I know I can due to the EXCELLENT silence.

I'd never think I'd come across a Solo build which makes the case looks big but you've managed. The cable management needs improvement though.

Yeah, it is almost roomy in there :) And the cable management consisted of jamming the wires into the cages before the photo shoot. Never my strong point :)

I have to disassemble for the noctua fan if it ever arrives, so maybe then :)

Yes, no reason to undervolt if your system is mostly idle.

However, if you often run CPU intensive tasks, the benefits can be substantial. Here's proof using an extreme example - when undervolted and running prime95, my i7 cpu's temp dropped 15 degs and according to Gigabyte's EnergySaver software, consumes around half the power, that's a 45W saving.
