Just been looking at this Fireseal acoustic foam. Has anybody used it?

Re fireseal: depends on what you want it to do. It will provide virtually no absorption below ~500hz because it's not thick enough, and probably too light. The pattern contouring helps higher up in frequency by providing greater surface area.
