3700-bqe FYI

Post by AntecRep » Mon Feb 21, 2005 7:58 am

Hi,

For those of you who want the SLK3000B side panel (so the Intel recommended CAG 1.1 on it), we've made that available for purchase on our site via the SLK3000B page and the SLK3700BQE.

http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=93703

At this time I don't know if it will make it out to the channel or not.

How about the opposite? Can we buy the SLK3700BQE side panel without vents for a SLK3000B?

I think it would be great if antec would market the small silicon fan isolators that are supplied with the slk 3700 bqe fan.

I visited the Antec link above and found an item was for sale described as RBRFANGROMT with one unit for $2.99 plus $7.86 shipping. I am not sure if this is the silicon isolators from the slk 3700 bqe. It is also unclear whether one unit represents a set of four individual isolators.

I expect we'll start seeing BQE side panels cropping up on eBay as people replace them with 3000B side panels.

RBRFANGRMT is a set of 4 of the fan rubber screws.

I'll mention the interest in the SLK3700BQE side panel. If you want one now, your best bet it to call into customer support 1-800-222-6832.

This is a "fan rubber screw" that came with a Sonata case.

When I try to buy this it says SLK1650/1650B air duct on my shopping list. Is this the 3000b side panel with the air duct?

Has anyone out there measured the temperature and sound differences between the two doors? I'd love to know how many degrees my system would drop by changing out my 3700bqe door for the 3700b door. And how much louder it would get. And, of course, if I lowered the fan speed to make the temps. equal, whether the sound level would be less with the new door.

Ah, well...

Wow, I liked it better when I thought it was $7.95 (the broken link). Now it's $19.95.

Antec...have you run any tests as I talked about above?

Mike/Ralf...any chance of you guys running them?
