New EverCase

Post by warriorpoet » Wed Nov 02, 2005 9:49 pm

I think I'm in love.

Poor SLK3000B never knew the relationship would be this short. Ah well, all's fair in love and PC. I'll take mine in SIlver/White, thank you. Take that Mac snobs!!! :P

Anyone have any experiences with this case? I'd hate to fall in love with a no go showboat (it may already be too late...)

The case looks identical to the good 'ol 4252 except for the front bezel. Unless the airflow through the front bezel is worse than the 4252's, the 4502 should be just as good as it's earlier sibling.

I think I saw this somewhere in the last 6 mos; maybe in Taipei? Anyway, I do recall having the distinct impression that the bezel edge intake is nowhere near as free-flowing as the original 4252. The images available at the Evercase site suggests the same.

Hello,

It looks to be fairly choked off in the bezel:

Hmmm...The inside picture on the original link shows a much more open front bezel...I wonder which is correct.

Hello,

Well the inside front grill is basically the same as the 4252, but if the front bezel is severely constricted, then the openness of the inside front won't really help... :?

Well, curse.

I just hate to be like everyone else here with an SLK3000B/P180/P150. Although if they start shipping the P150 w/out a PSU...I'm quite satisfied with the Antec Neo HE500 in my current machine :)

Back on topic :P

Why not consider the Evercase 4252? It does have the original version of the intakes on the side of the front bezel, and it is a fine case, and is a great value. (Read: it is quite inexpensive...)
