built to be completly fanless (heatpipes), full size ATX, 3 PCI via riser card, 3 disks, VF-Display, external PSU.

THIS IS A DREAM for all HTPCs!

335 Euros (~400 USD) may sound expensive, but take a good looking case (Silverstone, Zalman) + (external) PSU + VF-Display + good, quiet CPU cooler and this isn't too bad after all. A Silverstone LC14M e.g. is around 200 Euros + a PSU costs at least 50 Euros and the CPU cooler another 50 bucks.

I'm very interesting how much power the external PSU delivers.

Bye egghat.

Go to http://www.mcubed-tech.com/eng/shop.htm and select HFX Mini.
There are the prices and some additional info.

can't find a wattage there.

But I have to correct my previous posting:

"VFD, Netzteil, Festplattenbox und DVD-Laufwerk sind im Lieferumfang nicht enthalten."

Essentially: VFD, PSU, Harddrive cage and DVD are not included.

I can't find any prices, so we'll have to see how expensive this little goodie will be after all ...

Bye egghat.

EF16 external 165W

The EF16 is an external fanless power supply for the HFX mini. The ATX-Adapter will be mounted inside the case and the PSU will be placed outside like with a laptop. The EF16 is perfect for Intel Pentium M or AMD Turion. The performance is sufficient for up to 3 slot cards, 1 DVD and 2 HDD.

Features:
small DC/DC adapter with external PSU, ATX-plug with P4 for 90V-264V
long lifetime and reliable
protection against over-current, over-voltage and over-heat
high efficiency of > 86%
low consumption at stand-by <0.75W
Should be great for a Core Duo + 7900GT.
