I respectfully disagree. :) Even though the Solo doesn't include a NeoHe, I think that Antec could have gotten away with it with clear product labeling, i.e. "Case Only-Power Supply Not Included". The P160 with window is P160W, the P180 with black paint is P180B, and the P150 with black paint is the Solo(?). One of my faults is that I love standardization and simplicity. :D I was working on my car last weekend and kept getting mad because I was switching between Metric and Standard tools. I know, I'm pathetic.

IIRC, the first SuperLanboy had a 350 watt power supply, but the current SuperLanboy doesn't.

Take care.

I think you mean the original Antec Lanboy, not the Super Lanboy. It had a 350W SmartBlue. To my shame, I have owned two of them ;)

LOL bro, 2 Lanboys? The Super LANBOY product page shows 3 models: the Super LANBOY, the Super LANBOY TPII Blue and the Super LANBOY SL350. I remember seeing one of the latter in a computer store some time ago.

Anyway, can't wait to see the Hans Solo.

Take care.

A couple things:

Lanboy had a PSU
Super LANBOY did not, however Circuit City (I think) had an exclusive on a Super LANBOY with SL-350 Blue.
The Super LANBOY TPII Blue and Super LANBOY SL350 are special Antec website bundles, not official products.

For the vast majority of cases + PSU that we also offered a Case only option, the case+PSU outsold the case only option by a wide margin (something like 5 to 1). The only exception to that, the SLK3000B in Europe only. That's why we typically go with the case+psu combo.

If we kept Solo in the Performance One family it would have to have been P100B or something. P150B for the majority of people would mean an included PSU. No matter how big we had it on the box, flyer, web page, if we sky wrote around the globe, 99% of the people buying it would still assume it had a PSU (NeoHE 430).

Ah, sorry about that ;) I guess AntecRep's post clears thing up.

Judging from the pictures, the Solo won't have stealth 5.25" covers?

Cheers,

Agreed.

I wouldn't mind having them, but not having them is just as fine. =D

Do we have any idea as to the possible release date of the Solo?

Thanks for the clarification and input. Yes, Circuit City is where I saw that case + psu.

Point taken. I do believe that the desire around here for a Solo sans PSU was primarily due do to the NeoHE compatibility issues. If every Solo shipped with a Revision A4 or later NeoHE, then people might have been more amenable to the P150B.

Once again, thank you for your insight and I look forward to release of the Solo.

I would've preferred to have the stealth bays with the option of removing them ala Ralf Hutter's P150. However, Antec probably wants to differentiate the Solo from the P150.

As for the release date, only one person here knows and they aren't talking. If I had to guess, I would say an official launch @ Computex with availability in June or July.

I asked Infonec, a popular retailer and Antec reseller here in Toronto:
The NSK6500 is on back order until 5/19/2006, and the NSK6000 is not available yet

It seems the Solo will be for sale soon in Akihabara. The translation says in 15 days and for 15,000 Yen or $135 US :?. They also have 2 new pictures. Original link and Translated link.

EDIT: I just noticed that they gave the same 15,000 Yen price for the NSK2400. Hence, this may be erroneous information. Sorry.

1- Yes. By 4,5in.
2- Don't know. I've seen it in a couple of online Australian shops though.
3- At those Aussie shops it's around £100/£105.
4- Antec TruePower 2.0 550W

Much thanks for the info/research! That's perfect - just what I was looking for! (i.e. a decent sized (not too big) all-black, door-less, 'mean-looking' case for around £100). :D Glad it's got the same beefy PSU as the Titan - that makes it a good deal.

Hehehe, look what I've found. 8) Links International, a Japanese company, has tons of pics of the Solo. Link in Japanese and Link in English.
If the pics are too big I will delete them for you. :) Do you think the paint looks less glossy than the Solo shown at Cebit?

From the link in English:
Concerning maintenance function, removable system is adopted for the side panel and front panel, the private slider is equipped in 5 inch bay and 3.5 inch bay. It is possible to install and remove the access and drive to inside the case simply. Furthermore, it is possible to control inside the case in optimum circumstance with air filter and [keburuoganaizuzeshiyon] which prevent the invasion of Chile and the dust.
I'd like to to know just how the dust filter prevents the invasion of Chile - the Antec developers are getting a little too clever, methinks...
