Currently, I say Solo / P150 is the most silent off the box case you can get generally. With slight modification like removing fan grills you can make it nearly inaudiable.
It has soft mounting for HDD´s for standard, dual layer panels with noise absorption material. 120mm exhaust and optional 2x 92mm frontal fans make it easy to make quiet and good cooling in that case.
I would love to have Solo myself. And I am sure many SPCR readers concur that solo is one the best unless the best case now to build a quiet system, which doesn't need to host 8800 GTX.

It seems you don't want to hear that the NZXT Hush is inferior to the Antec P150/Solo. Having read the reviews the impressions I get of the Hush are:
(i) it's a gamer case that has been made quieter with acoustic panels, a couple of OKish 120mm fans and some rubber grommets;
(ii) quality control is not great (missing grommets and drive mountings in one review);
(iii) you can fit an 8800GTX (or two!) in it.
(iv) it lights up!
Being the owner of Antec Sonata and Sonata II cases (and having read so many other Antec owners opinions, not only on this site) I know that Antec have excellent quality control and don't just tweak their cases to make them a bit quieter: they design cases like the P150/Solo with silence in mind. Features like cable management to assist air-flow and the option to suspend hard drives demonstrate this. For silencing it is in a different league from the Hush. As for the PSU that comes with the P150 you don't have to look to far on the net to find out that Antec make quality PSUs, but if you don't want the PSU get a Solo (which looks a whole lot better too IMHO!).
Then again if you want blue lights and an 8800GTX, get a Hush!
