Morpho - New Nexus case
Tiny ATX/MicroATX design, but being alu, no doubt more style than silence potential.

Nice looking.......but. This case is designed exactly like so many others that were complete flops in the cooling department. Just how does Nexus expect enough air to enter the case through the small opening at the bottom of the front bezel? You have the PSU fan blowing out, the rear case fan blowing out, the front fan blowing in, and all are sucking through some sort of filter stuck in a restricted bezel arrangement that is probably a bear to remove for filter cleaning.
Even without a filter, and the restrictive rear fan hole opened up.....this case will run hot unless your components are the coolest possible. Forget a hot video card, forget multiple hard drives, forget an even moderately hot CPU. Maybe forget Nexus......

There should be a second blue arrow on that first photo, because the PSU will suck airflow across the mobo and graphics card.nightmorph wrote:Potential airflow problem: notice that there seems to be none at all in the top half of the case?
Looks like I was wrong about Soldam, this site seems active: http://www3.soldam.co.jp/ Having checked Soldam’s site, I’m even more convinced the Morpho is made by them.
One anomaly between those Morpho pics is the drive bay cover screws – visible in the 2nd pic, but not in the 3rd pic. Again, those scews are another styling clue to Soldam.

I agree, but try telling that to the alu-fan-boys That's the only reason I posted it, because it's 'made' by Nexus.Bluefront wrote:Nice looking.......but. Here's the webpage of the Abbe S1R.
Here you can show the internal layout of the Abee, to compare with the Morpho. It's a same, except some little modification.
If it's the same, that's not a problem for me. Abee cases are very stylish (it's my opinion), but not available for european market. Nexus just give us them. Love it ^^ I think it'd be a great case for µATX mobo, fot thoose who don't want a cube case. But the price will be a great high.

Now available in black: http://www.endpcnoise.com/cgi-bin/e/std ... orpho_case Note there are side vents that can mount up to 2 120mm fans. The upper one might keep GPU's from frying. It also seems that this is best used as an matx case.
