The two doors in frnt of the intake fans are quite bad - try removing them.

Push a bit on both the upside and low side the door at the hinges. It should come off easily.

Cutting the lines, cutting the grid and removing the filter makes for quite a difference.

ook just done

took the top door off but couldnt budge the second one as i couldnt get my fingers underneath :(....i guess the bottom one doesnt matter much since there's no fan there anyways?

can i just cut the fan grills with normal metal cutters?

that fan grill at the lower hdd cages is pretty useless, they should have put enough space to fit a fan there like the antec 900

I'm curious... How's the temps before and after?

I think it's fair to say that no-case is going to run cooler than any case. So removing the side panel doesn't surprise me.

I agree.
58 vs 50

my ambient temp is pretty cold because my pc sits in the basement and it's winter time

Look at the door you took off. The top "peg" is on a little semi-flexible stub of plastic that gives slightly. I took a screwdriver and pressed down on it to get the bottom door off.

I agree, though as you can see from the state of the filter that air does flow through that section.

I think you can fit a thinner 20mm fan down there. I've been looking for a quiet one because I also want to remove the fan that's between the HDD cage and the PSU because I want more room to work down there. The cables are just too tight down there for me to comfortably route things.
